According to the TRACKER, Florida State has already added 7 transfers and Texas A&M has added 5.
PAC 12 maybe 1 or 2 so far.

If Kyle goes he will look back on his college career and see that Oregon State was his high water mark. He is a borderline power 5 program starting shortstop. Limited range, arm is weak on any ball in the 5.5 hole and is not a real productive hitter. Better fit in the WAC or mountain west

If Kyle goes he will look back on his college career and see that Oregon State was his high water mark. He is a borderline power 5 program starting shortstop. Limited range, arm is weak on any ball in the 5.5 hole and is not a real productive hitter. Better fit in the WAC or mountain west totally agree. If faced with very good pitching, i.e. SEC (as an eligible grad)....or the low minors (though it's unlikely he'd get drafted, or be offered a FA contract)...it would be surprising if he thrived. His OPS 'progression': Freshman: .709 (limited AB's) Summer after FR season (WCL): .507 Soph: .487 Junior: .612 I'm excited to see a new chapter at SS for the Beavs. Hopefully (likely) there will be several candidates. It would be great if Kyle's departure influenced an incoming Freshman to choose college over signing. All in all, SS could be: Trosky, Kane (several games there in 2023, allowing Guerra at 3rd?), Bazzana (tho' I think 2B is where he belongs), Dawson Santana, Reeve Boyd, Caraway (dreaming), or  Frankly, any of those are more exciting to me than Dernedde. I really miss Cadyn Grenier. |

Just saying some of these teams are living off the Portal. ORU Roster of 32 with 22 transfers! Made the CWS for the first time in like 50 years.

I really miss Cadyn Grenier. like your choice of Caraway, but his draft projection puts him around 3 million dollar signing bonus. Hard to turn that down. Far as what we have - Kane maybe, would allow another bat in the lineup. Trosky and Bazanna don’t have the arm and Jabin looks overmatched at the plate. Maybe one of the new guys will be cadyn part 2. 🙏 |
