She is not shy about self-promotion, good for her.

She is not shy about self-promotion, good for her. To be honest if you've ever dealt with Dad... well, you'd understand why. Daughter seems to be pretty level headed considering.

Love Forde who will attend Nelson high in Clackamas is definitely another 2027 to keep an eye on. She's 6'2 and will likely be a national recruit.

Also, Love Forde (Nelson) just picked up a Michigan offer. She's looking very much like a national recruit that may be tough to land.

Jonas was in attendance at one of their recent tournaments. Well it would be nice to have a deadly long range shooter like her----has anyone seen her do anything but catch and shoot?

Looks like Payton Stalwart will be playing for Crescent Valley High school in Corvallis this coming season. Might have to catch a game or two.

She's 5'6"... maybe, not overly quick, sort of frail in terms of a D1 HS player. But, she's an incoming frosh with lots of time to improve. Parents (dad mostly) are a bit over the top on the pub, but that's the world that we live in.

She's definitely too slight to play D1 today, that's where recruiting can be tough. Have to imagine kids in several years (in this case 4 years), after being in the weight room, growing, maturing. I would also say that her quickness is actually a strength and superior to at least a several of the current guards on the Beavs roster. Being connected to that family, I can tell you that while the parents are doing a lot of work to promote, if she couldn't play, it wouldn't matter. She's legitimately a top 10 shooter in the country (according to a few scouts) with PG skills and offers or interest depending on who you ask from Iowa State, Montana, Oregon, Portland, Portland State, Arkansas, San Diego, San Diego State, San Jose State, Cal, Utah and Oregon State (although I'm not sure how much at this point).
None of it really matters right now, long ways to go for any kid in this 2027 thread. And if they don't keep working, it won't work out for them.
The #1 player in Oregon for the 2027 class is still 6'2 Forward Love Forde from Nelson. She's a likely 5 star kid. Would guess Payton is 2nd or 3rd depending on who you ask.
From a Beavers perspective, she's likely a great fit but keep in mind, the Beavs are probably headed to the Mountain West and that will impact recruiting for the staff in a major way. Getting the best local girls will be more important than it's probably ever been.
I have faith in them to make the best of a tough situation, as Scott did his best work with blue collar under the radar kids, at least that's what I remember thinking but then again, maybe they had a few 5 star kids and I didn't realize it a few years back.
Go Beavs, can't wait for the season to get rolling!

Well it would be nice to have a deadly long range shooter like her----has anyone seen her do anything but catch and shoot? Ok---Thanks for this 02beav! She is a well-rounded player for an incoming frosh---I particularly was impressed with her passing skills and court awareness/vision, and ball handling, and a pretty good left hand for such a young player. Being a local girl from the Corvallis area the Beavs would be well advised to make her a recruiting priority and not let her get away! Her current slight frame will not be an issue after 4 more years of training and development! [/quote]

Assuming no major injury, she will play high level D1 basketball, would be really cool if it was with the Beavs.
