Breaking aka break dancing in the olympics. Uggh...Sure it takes athletic ability but it's the olympics not the x games what’s next ? 2028 Los Angeles games medals in tax preparation and parallel parking They should put some kind of automobile racing event in the Olympics. I'd watch that.

Dammit! I wish I didn't know hocker was dirty duck! He looks like a Duck. During the Olympics, we are all on the same team, though. Cheer on the non-Duck Americans, but always cheer on the Americans. Reminds me of the 1942 Rose Bowl, and Oregon State's Frank Parker saving Duke's Charlie Haynes' life in the Arno Valley, and Oregon State's Stan Czech giving Duke's coach, Wallace Wade some food, because Wade had not eaten in two days, during the Battle of the Bulge. Different teams in the United States, but we are on the same team in Europe.

The women’s competition was quite impressive. It sort of felt like a gymnastics event. Kinda weird though to introduce it in Paris only to leave it off the LA games in 2028. Maybe it won’t ever come back.

Jordan Chiles bronze...what a mess
In summary, after she finished her routine she was in 5th and out of medal contention. US asked for a review saying she wasn't given a high enough score for difficulty. Judges agreed, gave her 0.10 points and bronze medal. Romanian gymnast that was in third fell off the podium
Later, Romanian team challenged the review saying the US coaches didn't protest in time (1 minute) Later reviewed and agreed. Now Chiles has to return the bronze.
Both Chiles and the Romanian gymnast are screwed by the judges. IF the judges did thier job in the first place and given the proper difficulty score, there would have been no issue and Chiles would have won the bronze outright.

Every Olympics needs one or two legitimate scandals. It just wouldn't be the Olympics without them.

"Now Chiles has to return the bronze." What if she simply refused? They can remove her name from the official listing, but I rather doubt they can do anything to force her to physically return it. She could tell them to find another bronze medal to give to the Romanian if they wish, but she's keeping the one she has, thank you very much.
