Just a thought here..>The Paralympics are a separate event that follows the 'regular Olympics'. Why not run them along with the regular olympics? Not saying saying compete aginst the able bodied (or whatever the PC term is), but rather just another part of the sport being contested.
Example a swimming event includes heats for para athletes and regular athletes on the same day/time/venue.
First up 100m Free - Full bodied, second up 100m Free - Para.
Para athletes get much more coverage and greater crowds to see their athletic prowess?

Para athletes get much more coverage and greater crowds to see their athletic prowess? The logistics of having the Olympics are daunting in and of themselves. The Paris Olympics have been noted for having food supply issues so bad that some of the Olympians are having to venture out of the Olympic Village to get their own food from local vendors rather than rely on the French Olympic Committee supplying them with the food that they need to compete. Now add the Paralympians with their special needs on top of that. Freaking nightmare. The French Olympic Committee has handled the Olympics poorly, though, from the get-go, especially when compared to like Japan three years ago. There is a distinct chance that a better-run country could accomplish what you are proposing. But you can not rely on that occurring every four years.

I mean, France has not had a government for the pas 19 days. They are still trying to form a government out of the mess of an election that they had on the 7th. It is entirely possible that they will not have a functioning government for the full year before they are forced to have another election next year.

Lieutenant, and future President, James Monroe, held the flag, though, in the painting, not General Washington.

Felt like a spectacle for the rich people on the docks.

A better run country? Do you get out much? Lol! I said compared to Japan three years ago. Do you get out much? Order, organization, planning…these are what Japan excels at. Few countries come close. But wow, France put on a helluva show! Taking it out of the stadium allowed the city to display her beauty.
