Noah Lyles finished 3rd in the 200M..later announced he tested COVID positive. Surprises me he was allowed to run....no rules against it I guess I noticed him wearing a mask inside yesterday, and I was wondering, if he was worried about getting sick or getting someone else sick. The relative nonchalance about something that was so allegedly important four years ago is galling, especially because of the huge part that it played in the destruction of the Conference of Champions. Nothing “alleged” about it.

Even though he’s a duck… Gotta give props to Cole Hocker for taking gold in 1500m. Gutsy race in a blistering pace. Won at the tape w/ an OR. Don’t know anything about the guy. Hopefully he’s not a jerk. That was one great race. I was pretty sure he had an *uck connection but both my wife and I found ourselves cheering him on like crazy. After seeing him being interviewed by the TV networks I am not convinced he is the sharpest tool in the the tool box but that was one of the greatest 1500 meter races ever.

Men's hoops dodged a serious bullet vs Serbia. Basketball is no longer 'America's Game' So many high quality players from non-USA countries (and in the NBA).
Final vs France will be like playing game 7 of the NBA on the road. Gonna be loud and very pro-France as it should be in their country. Should be a fun game to watch

However, you believe that the Pac-12 playing seven games (on paper) in completely empty stadiums was the way to go in 2020? I still personally disagree that the 2020 Pac-12 season was handled close to competently. And I also believe that we are where we are at is, in part, because of that bungling.

Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone's brilliant WR 400m Hurdles performance - From all angles. It's just not fair for all of those other women to have to run over hurdles when they're trying to beat Sydney to the finish line.

The original "allegedly" comment already pushed it too far. As he correctly corrects you, four years ago it - a positive COVID test - was absolutely not "allegedly important." While the pandemic may not have affected you directly beyond inconveniencing your sports consumption, for many - for too many close to me, for one - it was literally about life and, too often, death.

It's just not fair for all of those other women to have to run over hurdles when they're trying to beat Sydney to the finish line. It is too bad that the qualifications for the 400m and 400m hurdles overlap. Otherwise, Sydney would probably clean up at both. They need to fix that in Los Angeles.
