The Portal so far: Junior RHP Noah Ferguson Freshman IF Reeve Boyd R/S Freshman IF Brandon Forrester Bolting due to the conference seems silly (don't know their reasons, just saying) when the likes of Costal Carolina, Dallas Baptist, Grand Canyon etc are pretty good. |

Is there a complete list not behind a pay wall? One name I saw that Mitch and crew might want to go after: COLE CRAMER, WASHINGTON STATE, 3B Not sure which of our infielders we will lose for sure, but a .360 infielder is always a good thing to have. Trosky to 2nd Cramer to 3rd perhaps? Hainline can put in a good word  |

I would say that those 3 are bolting for PT, not conference affiliation. I was leaning that way but seeing the names Boyd and Forrester got me wondering. |

Don't think anything we'll see before the season is over will have anything to do with conference affiliation/other outside factors. Any names we see now probably weren't in the near-term plans for next year's team anyway. I'll be more interested to see who enters the portal after the season and if any of the guys we're banking on for next year enter. I would agree though that conference affiliation is probably not as big of an issue for baseball as it is for other sports, if we lose any starters I would think they got a bag somewhere that we were unable/unwilling to match, or there was a clash with culture. |

For sure gone: Bazanna, Hainline, MMD, and Kasper.
Possibly gone: Smith, Weber, and Guerra.
Seems like a lot of empty spots to fill but we are deep deep deep. We have 5 legit OF with Reeder, Macias, MMD, Turley and Kasper. I'd expect Krieg and Caraway to make strides and lock in the corners. Trosky likely lands at SS and either a portal guy, recruit or on roster guy like Santana or Peterson steps up at 2nd. Talt is another interesting one as he can play OF and is also a utility catcher.

Just a wild guess. Caraway going for money. With a bit of luck we need a good SS and Trosky looks to be a great replacement for Baz at 2nd. New Catcher and a really good outfielder. Pitching?
