looks like Arnold's are off to usc Good for them. Best of luck. They won't be coached as well. But they'll get nice plane rides to Maryland, Michigan and Minnesota. And a big home game with Rutgers, and against Nebraska, Penn State and Wisconsin, which will probably have as many fans in the stands as USC draws. The third Arnold, Benedict, went to Michigan State.

looks like Arnold's are off to usc In years past, you hated to see a recruit you thought you had commit instead to a conference rival, or an OSU player transfer to one. It just hurt twice as much. Now? USC might as well be Syracuse. We're not going to play them again, and I'm not going to go out of my way to watch any of their games. So I've seen, and/or read about, the last of the Arnold's exploits on a football field. I don't wish them any ill, but it will bring a smile to my face whenever I become aware of their team losing.

And, I'll be curious to see how much/well they play. SC had a terrible scheme and players did not seen to play hard. But SC has extremely athletic and talented players. I guess we'll see, but just wondering how that was the best fit for either??

One never knows, but with NIL and the arrogance of the SC environment I'm not sure newcomers/former OSU players will have much of an impact unless the new defensive staff does. But, hopefully they enjoy that pig sty of a campus area and all the crap that goes with it.

It's not OSU beautiful. It's looks and is a small "city". And, like you mentioned, every direction off campus is trouble. I may have improved since my years there... probably don't have to worry about wearing red or blue to the village... but it'd be one of the last places I'd want my kid to go. But, I'm not big city. However, like many kids now glitz, glamor, beaches, girls were draws!

I know the first time I went there in 1990 (took a road trip as an OSU student), I was told to watch my back around campus, but didn't have any troubles. As an older adult, visited the campus and Exposition Park and had a great time there. I can't speak for living there or going to school there, but it's a GREAT place to visit for a day or two.
