Portal opens today.... still a lot of uncertainty as to who is staying and who is going. Any updates? If yo could post that would be appreciated. Also, on the coaching front, as to who is officially on staff ... lots of speculation on coaches...who is actually in and where are we?
As a side note, I found it interesting that Ohio State's McCord entered the portal and one of the guys getting reps for the bowl game is former Beaver Tristan Gebbia.

With the way college football is going how long til there are trades of players and cash between teams? Much like the NFL. The one difference between college and NFL football? The NFL has a spending cap.

What kind of shenanigans can we expect from Michigan State?
What We Know:
This is Sparta. They've already raided us.
The Beavers have a wealth of talented players who are underclassmen and could be potential NIL targets. QB Aiden Chiles being centerstage.
Our starting QB (DJU) recently entered the portal with destination unknown (would MSU offer him?).
MSU/CJS have targeted the 2024 Beaver recruiting class and we've felt it with MSU offers/visits and resulting decommitments. Signing Day is Dec 20, 2023.
MSU boosters Steve St Andre and billionaire Mat Ishiba (the Mel Tucker money) are on point with philanthropic support. Yes, they've had a recent fiasco with canceled NIL contracts and the Mel Tucker disaster, but they are still dangerous. Keep your head on a swivel Beaver Nation.
Look for other schools to leverage the "No conference, no schedule, no tv deal, no money, etc" angle on the Beaver players.
What countermeasures can we expect from Dam Nation to Defend the Dam?

One good idea for the damn NIL problem is to rule a player can only collect from his original school choice. Might temper the year end scramble to the portal.
Makes sense so no chance!
