Gunderson as OC?!??! Yikes, never called a play in his life... I wonder how many High School OCs hung up on Trent, smfh I mean, everyone has to do it a first time at some point, right? Bray had never called a defense prior to his hire and that's worked out very well. Gunderson has coached under some very successful coaches. Correct me if i am wrong, but he has only officially coached under one guy... Chip Kelly who hasn't been all that successful once they got rid of his ability to run plays before the defense was set. QBs at UCLA have not been very inspiring the last couple years, IMHO |

If Chiles is as good as many believe he is, we should expect him to land at a much higher profile school than MSU. I would not be surprised to see him land at Ohio State, U$C or an SEC school. Could be the only reason he is transferring is for the same reason he came to OSU in the first place, an established relationship with the coaches who recruited him. Now there is also the idea of taking the next step and progressing in an offense he already invested a year in learning. He seems like a well grounded kid so I would find those factors a bigger impact on his decision than anything else. Not saying you're saying this, but there seems to be a lot of folks under the impression players are only transferring for two reasons, money and profile. I'm sure that is happening to a degree, but until I see some facts to back that claim up, I am pretty certain the vast majority transfer for other reasons. |

This is like Dwight and Michael arguing about Assistant Manager vs Assistant TO THE Manager  However, in the intervening few minutes I have put my orange colored glasses back on in regards to this hire and I am sure that Gundy will make a GREAT OC! I especially liked reading about his work with DTR to help him develop into an NFL caliber QB. I am choosing to ignore the phenom 5 star QB that flopped this year under his tutelage  |

They were 2-deep at QB and losing them both cost the Noles a CFP spot. Luckily we are 3-deep but if we lose the starter during the bowl game, we are not going to be looking so good. Having Chiles around means we have a solid shot at being 2-deep next season. Now the job of getting a 2-deep deal, which is not always enough as FSU showed, it going to be tougher. I always BELIEVE but I do wonder how it all comes out in the wash sometimes...LOL! |

They’ll be able to get a solid qb in the portal I think. De Laura, Leavitt, green or someone to compete with Ben next year. Maybe Montiel or Throckmorton develop as well. Throckmorton was a solid prospect out of high school.
