The Monty show which predicted the day that UO and UW would join the B1G, is saying that Stanford, Cal and SMU to the ACC is a done deal (they are currently crossing Ts and dotting Is) and will probably be announced on Friday. OSU/WSU can now move full speed ahead on whatever plan they have. Would this explain Scott Barnes hiring apparently Oliver Luck, and the reports he was working not for the remaining four schools, including Stanford, but just WSU and OSU?

Would this explain Scott Barnes hiring apparently Oliver Luck, and the reports he was working not for the remaining four schools, including Stanford, but just WSU and OSU? I think it was well-known that Stanford and Cal wanted out, it was simply a matter of finding out whether they had an invitation somewhere else, and what they would have to do to secure one. Oregon State and Washington State knew they had fewer options and wanted to be proactive, so those two schools moved forward with hiring Luck.
