The point of the movie is the second chance and the redemption of the coach. Something that is not allowed in today’s society. One mistake and you are permanently cancelled. And, yes, it will be very difficult for anyone to build a program here. We are always going to be vulnerable to other programs stealing our players. I disagree. I think the coach's second chance and redemption is only a sub theme of the movie and not even strictly necessary to the plot. But that's OK. Society hasn't changed. The coach in the movie got his second chance in a Podunk high school in Indiana only because he was a friend of someone who could make that decision. It's still the same. The problem today is that everyone is a victim and few take responsibility for their actions. You'd be surprised at how far a heart-felt "Whoops, I screwed up and I really am sorry" would go in rectifying things. But no one apologizes for anything anymore. Instead, they're the victim of this or that. Bravo! Couldn't agree more!
