Still wondering why it's not Kmatz My guess is that we want to save Kmatz for tomorrow. And save Sellers for Saturday. Trouble is, ASU got to Lattery pretty early and, while we have decent pitchers available, if ASU's bats are hot we could be in trouble. We used a lot of resources in that first game which makes the L even harder to take. But I've been all for using the tourney as a exhibition type game and not take it seriously. Whatever happens, happens. Sooner we're back in Corvallis, the better. Need to rest for the real tournament. |

I totally agree with saving Kmatz and Sellers but you've gotta win today to play tomorrow Except it's the Pac 12 tournament. Facing the hard facts, we aren't built for a deep run in the postseason. Offensively and defensively, we have our ups and downs, but we're lacking the ice in our veins to dominate the opponent and put them away. We're going to need a fair amount of good fortune to make it through to Omaha. So how does this Pac 12 tournament serve us? What does it do for us? Any other day, I agree 100% with the "win the game in front of you" philosophy. Not today. Winning today would be nice, but losing today won't really matter much. Hosting has been in doubt since the crazy start of Pac 12 play. |

Are you kidding me?? I remain convinced that Canham/Dorman aren't really ready to manage prime time college baseball, and now you say Dorman might start LARSON?.... No way...we're in a must win situation after yesterday's collapse and they may actually start a mediocre mid-week guy who, at this stage of his career, has no business in a must-win situation.

Well we surely won't host if we lose today.....if we win, and then maybe we keep winning....we have a good shot at hosting......OR maybe the coaching staff already knows we aren't hosting no matter what. I kind of disagree that we aren't built for a deep run. We have the hitting, D, and back end pitching......just can't get lit up like we have against ARZ schools. |
