IMHO it's time to start Gardiner and go with a more traditional lineup, Bendu and TVO at guard, Shalexxus or AJ at small forward, Gardiner at the 4 spot, and Jelena at Center. Beers can keep coming off the bench backing up Jelena and Timea when they want to go big.
Common sense tells me tonight will be a though game with all those 3pt shooters and with Utah being so good on offense, but Sunday should be interesting with Jelena, Raegan, and Timea going against Miller and Vonleh. I like our 'bigs' in that one. Still, when common sense tells me one thing, it's probably going to happen just the opposite.
I hope Gill is rockin' this weekend. Go Beavs! Let's get two more wins in the books!

Watched Utah vs. UCLA and thought that Pili and the Utes got away with a huge amount of contact on defense. It was in SLC, so that explains it to a degree, but it was way too much IMO. After watching the flopfest at Cal, I have no doubt that this is going to be interesting.

Going to be very difficult for the Beavs to either slow down Utah or try and score with them. Lynne Roberts has had their offense firing on all cylinders these past two seasons.

Still never heard why Gardiner was limited to playing less than half the game we blew to Cal

Still never heard why Gardiner was limited to playing less than half the game we blew to Cal One of the many "why" questions that Beav fans have had this year about Coach Rueck's decisions.
Go Beavs!

Still never heard why Gardiner was limited to playing less than half the game we blew to Cal Because she played long and hard against Stanford and she's just back from taking it easy for three months from injuries. Doesn't have a lot of oomph yet. Or you can go with SR being a fool who thinks she's not very good and why play her much?? Take your pick.

That's what happens when there's no local media covering a team on the road. There's nobody there to ask Rueck about the decision. No doubt it was the former, like you said. If it had been a home game, we'd most likely know the answer. And yes, I understand that most local newspapers and TV stations are not going to send people on the road for most women's basketball games.

Going to be very difficult for the Beavs to either slow down Utah or try and score with them. Lynne Roberts has had their offense firing on all cylinders these past two seasons. It appears you are predicting the strong likelihood of a loss. I believe you are correct. However it would be great if the Beavs got a few breaks along the way and pulled this one out. They gave excellent efforts in the last two games with no reward.
If they keep losing close game after close game, it often becomes a chronic condition.
