I am so puzzled by our guards. Dribbling into where the posts are getting position, taking away both any entry pass opportunity and any chance for either player to get a decent shot off. We are getting schooled by a team that simply understands the game much better. Seems to me that's almost all a coaching issue or lack of coaching. Yeah, I'm no fan of Rueck's philosophy, but this isn't the specific problem here. It's almost as if he's not able to get through to them at all. |

It's almost as if he's not able to get through to them at all. I mean, the stuff they aren't doing is 'student of the game stuff'. So yea, it's ultimately on the players - I have to believe the coaches are teaching spacing and angles, CR certainly has in the past. The game just never slows down enough for some players to see things real-time I guess. |

And bringing in a top point guard hasn't happened since. One can still hope, though |

Was actually not really looking forward to watching this game; and so far playing out as I expected! Utah passes well and can shoot the 3; are quicker than us at every position (except maybe when Bendu is in), and have a strong post. As already mentioned, they giv us a reminder of the Beavs of 5-8 years ago! Just catch match up with them defensively when every player can drive at will, and shoot the 3.
Ladies are playing hard though, hoping 2nd have we can just get everyone making 3s for once.
Next year we need 2 additional really quick guards that can also shoot the 3. Go Beavs

Beers showing why she should get more minutes in that last stretch. Hit a midrange shot, then came up with a block and takeaway. Just drew a foul (after getting her first shot blocked, thouogh)
