Well, great job by the Beavers. But once again...like Arizona, like Stanford...now Utah. Just can't get over the hump.
It wouldn't be so bad if they didn't botch games against UW and Cal on top of the tough losses to the good teams.
The players are going out and playing hard and clearly aren't letting things spiral out of control. I really hope they get some good bounces in the near future.

Bitter pill. I sure hope these pills are creating more motivation rather than demoralizing.
As for Utah, they do not look like a deep run team to me. They barely had answers when OSU figured out how to defend them. I know they've done well in the Pac, but they just don't have a ton of answers when their offense doesn't give them open looks.

Utah's pretty darn good. Not Stanford good, but pretty good. They'll get some wins in the NCAA Tournament...Sweet 16 at least. |

Gardiner and Beers are also much quicker. Seeing those two plus Blacklock playing in the clutch was very encouraging. Hansford and Pietsch also got time but weren't effective. In general, I thought players earned their minutes tonight, and I can't say that about many games recently. Difference in the game up until the last few minutes was the atrocious start, but I wonder if Timea and Reagan simply aren't conditioned to playing heavy minutes, and the plan is for them to finish games - since that's exactly what they did. |

The team and coaches had a great effort and they showed a lot of character. But we’re talking about a tip. Not a catch and shoot. Only the tallest of players had a shot to tie it. We had our point guard going for it. C’mon…. |
