They mentioned it a couple times, shoulder injury from a "football like" collision, not sure which game, U of Zero I presume. They mentioned she would get "further evaluated, xrayed, back in LA", etc. etc. my comment was sarcasm...I swear they mentioned she injured here shoulder vs the ducks at least 20 times... Gotcha, didn't pick up on that, didn't notice the smiley face, sorry.

Well, Yeaney has eight assists and has played while Pietsch sits...I am still not sure about her as the point, but her ballhandling is good and she can match up defensively. It helps to dump the ball to Beers when in doubt as well, lol If you start from the fact that the Beavs do not have great options at point guard (as has become the norm) ....and you consider the +'s and -'s of: Pietsch, TVO, Mannen, or Yeaney as point guard... ...based on this weekend I believe that Yeaney (at this moment) is the best option for the position. As a veteran of the PAC she keeps her cool under pressure better than some of the others....and she brings the ball up the court with the best intensity of the group. If Talia starts hitting from the outside...a real possibility (38% 3-pt shooter in her two 'freshman' seasons), and Reagan continues her trajectory on the inside game...and Timea steps in as an offensive option and a contributor, Bendu at PG could work out.

The difference - not just skill set, but attitude - between Raegan and the two 'bigs' that were here last year, and who chose to leave, frankly makes me quite happy that they left, and that she is here. She is what Beav WBB is all about. Good job Rueck and staff in bringing her to Corvallis !!

I am surprised judge SMALLS hasn't chimed in yet. With his rec league experience, and his youth coaching acumen he should have called this victory!

Maybe part of the reason the two bigs left is because they saw the writing on the wall, spelled Beers!

Yeah, my Yeaney comments probably came across a little more harshly than intended...she has all the athletic gifts to play the position at a decent level and is definitely able to handle the ball pretty well and push the pace. And I agree, she is the Beavers' best option there right now.

Nice win, but you think SR is winning the league now? You realize that UCLA was missing their best player? No, the life blood of being a fan, the thing that keeps you going, is believing that your team is going to lose all of them the rest of the way, that the coaching staff stinks, and the players are just mailing it in. That's what keeps all of us going, judge, just like you. Why don't you try envisioning this? There are 2 teams this year - before Timea and after Timea. We're all hyped up that the BT team put it all together and beat a top ten team. We think that might give them a strong boost of confidence and, in 2 weeks time, when the AT team takes the floor, the second half of the season is going to be much better for us. Might not be quite up to the good old days level, but the arc will go back to moving upward. Is that a terrible thing to envision, judge?
