I interpreted the original comment as inferring that he would like to see more racial diversity on the OSU team. This is a common topic in many organizations; I see nothing inappropriate about expressing that as a concern, if that's indeed the intent. If it's inferring that the team should be comprised of a particular race out of a stereotype that that race is superior at the sport, that is indeed out of bounds. I'll give it the benefit of the doubt for now, will clean up if it causes further problems.
