They lost today’s game to Missouri Phenom EYBL 48-46. Hopefully stats will be posted soon.
This has definitely not been Talia’s best shooting weekend, but you can definitely tell she has the makings of a big time scorer and playmaker.

Talia's team (NW Blazers) face undefeated All Iowa attack today (Saturday)......Then, late Sat. afternoon they begin the tourney's Championship Playoff games.
Those kids are going to be dead tired Sunday afternoon when this thing finally winds down....
Shifting away from basketball to the inevitable topic: I'm hoping there is no evidence of a COVID outbreak starting in this tourney. With hundreds of players, parents and coaches mingling in close proximity it will provide something of a "natural experiment" on COVID contagion....
Don't worry. Lot's of concerned people will be closely watching, and measuring, the outcome of this gathering.

Talia's team (NW Blazers) got thumped this afternoon (Saturday, 18th) by All Iowa Attack - - 60 - 35....
Tonight NW Blazers play the Cal Stars 17.....

They lost to Cal Stars. Talia didn’t have a great weekend. They have the losers bracket tomorrow.
Cal Stars has a good guard, Audrey Roden, from Oregon that shoots it very well.

They went 1-1 today to close out the tournament.
Talia did not have a great tournament. She shot very poorly across the games, and didn’t have a huge impact.
As a team, they went 4-4. Not a lot of P5 talent, but they do have a very talented ‘22 PF Naya Ojukwu - she was far and away their best player this weekend. She goes to the same HS as Slocum.

Well, with Slocum and Ojukwu on the same team, I'd say that's going to produce a pretty darn good Idaho basketball team....
Shifting gears: I thought someone might add a note about the Medford kid (Hunter) and her performance in the tourney....
I'm guessing she's among the youngest of the players in the tourney. But she is receiving a lot of hype - and I have no clue how she is delivering...
Anyone with any info?
My curiosity is drifting into completely obscure territory during these nothing-is-going-on-in-sports weeks.....

Hunter did not have a huge impact. She is coming off of an ACL tear, and was wearing a large knee brace which was clearly limiting her mobility. Will be interesting to see her progress.
Cal Stars best player was from West Linn HS, and it wasn’t Aaronette Vonleh, it was Audrey Roden, a 5-10 guard committed to Nevada. Very good shooter.

It will be interesting to see if Audrey Roden stays committed to Nevada. It's too soon for her LOI to have been signed, right?
Also, it look like West Linn should be an Oregon power this year with Roden and Vonleh on the same team....
