I thought this thread was supposed to be about Van Lith coming, not Slocum going. Personally, I don't see one year of Slocum and Goodman being ahead of her as being a negative for her. How many top ten programs can a recruit go to where there isn't somebody else already penciled in to start at the point? The prospect of one year of pine time followed by three years starting for a program like Oregon State sounds pretty favorable to me. Is she going to start for Mulkey as a freshman?
Plus, she's got to be aware that, at the same time she's hitting her stride with OSU, so will Brown, Jones, Mitrovic, Goforth ... Every other position on the floor is going to be solid, and, with her added to the mix, this team is a Final Four contender. (Goforth thinks it is, even before anyone else commits for 2020.)
I don't think it's a question of if Van Lith commits to OSU, it's a question of when. (Tomorrow would be good.)

I think it would be great for Van Lith to spend a year with Slocum before taking over.

These girls are also recruiting and developing friendships with these recruits. I'm not sure why anyone sees them as a detriment. Hasn't stopped any other top program from bringing in talent year after year.

Thank you. But I see Pivec as #11 and Slocum #15.

She is already projected a top-10 pick. What does being maybe 5-6 have to do with that? Source? draftsite.com has Pivec at no. 11 and Slocum at no. 15. www.draftsite.com/wnba/mock-draft/2020/I have not found other lists yet. OPPPS! Sorry for the duplicate info. My bad.

It must update, perhaps after their respective showings at the Pan-Am trials.

I didn't see any sources that have Destiny in the top 10 (except someone on the boneyard who has her as number 3), but this link has Destiny at number 15, and Mik in the top 10. Highposthoops has Mik at number 7 as well. People are finally recognizing her, and I'm thrilled for Mik. Those of us who watch her on a regular basis know how important she is to this team. www.draftsite.com/wnba/mock-draft/2020/

Yes Mik is a baller - but she has bigger things ahead academically - so it's easy to slot her wherever you want. I cannot think of anyone that I would want on a 'team', more than Mik.

Back to Van Lith.....she's currently playing in the womens FIBA 3x3 world cup in Mongolia. This person's guess is that Van Lith's recruitment is winding down because none of the teams recruiting her are there to watch. I think that may be a stretch, but I'll throw it out there anyway.
That cut if off, so here...

Interview with HVL

I watched some of the 3v3 and HVL has great feet on defense. OSU coaches gotta love that. Not only that, but she is a very physical defensive player. She is very complete offensive and defensive player for a kid in HS. I sure hope that OSU has a legitimate shot at HVL.

Wish we could have landed her. Back to HVL, she is going to be really good. Tough, strong, natural leader, all the qualities of a natural PG. Baylor worries me here, but I still have high hopes for her. If not, I hope we can get Clark, but she is reportedly leaning more towards ND/UO. Another interesting PG option is Lily Scanlon, who was just followed recently to a few members of the staff. Really talented Aussie.

Watched quite a bit of her video yesterday. She has an extremely effective move to her left that she consistently banks in from virtually any angle - and a really soft touch from outside, not to mention some mad passing skills even where there does not appear to be a passing lane. One tough young lady on both ends of the floor, with very high energy. Would love to see her in Ruecks system.
