Well, it's definitely "big" news. This fall is going to be interesting....Mitrovic, Brown, and Jones coming in to join Aquino as Freshman. Now, that is size! They will have some real battles going against each other in practice.

Having front-line players with this kind of size will make it very appealing for a good point guard (or two) and shooting guards to commit to the Beavers in 2020. The new players will need to mesh, learn the 'D', and the offense.... but what a great time to have the Italy trip as a prelude to the season! By the Pac-12 season, Scott will have them clicking.

For those of you who didn't notice it posted on the recruiting board. The front line won't be much of an issue next year. Will we have any weaknesses? I don't think so. Careful... "chickens... hatch"... we have two we all thought would be playing extensively this year. Potential is great, but I'm going to be excited when they all hit the court healthy... and able to contribute. But, great start to next signing period.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but this is NOT a great start to the next signing period. Instead, it's a great finish to the CURRENT signing period. She'll be here in 2019.

I believe they are referring to the spring signing period.

I believe they are referring to the spring signing period. That's one interpretation, but it makes no sense. No one really expects any more signings in April, but referring to this as a "start" would imply an expectation of more April signings. Hence, the correct interpretation of "next signing period" as used above is 2020.

Heck, that's pretty messed up for Mitrovic. She barely gets here, then she has to head back to the same part of the world that she came from, to a region in Italy she has probably been to numerous times in her life, and that's supposed to be her one and only exciting road trip for her entire Beaver career? Buggers on that! Buggers I say!

Will this make us the tallest team next year? 6'9", 6'9", 6'7", 6'6", 6'3", 6'3" is amazing size for a women's team.
Truly a great day to be a beaver!
Not only did we win the recruit but we kept asu from getting her.

Well, just when you thought Oregon State couldn't get any bigger, they just did. So, these gals must not mind all the competition they will get on the team to play the 4 and 5 spots. It will be interesting to see if they all stay after next season. Obviously they believe Scott Rueck is the "post whisperer" as someone on the Boneyard forum called him. I can't disagree, as Grymek has made huge strides this year, and continues to improve. Too bad for her she only got 2 years to develop under Scott. I find it hard to believe that Oregon State's team next year won't be tallest college women's team ever. So maybe Rueck really does think 6'6" McDonald's AA Kennedy Brown can effectively play the 3....just a thought.

Who now holds the record? I think those worried about playing time text year should be Maddie and Janessa... at least when it comes time for the conference season. However, they may play when we need to run with a small, quick team. Yes, with the addition of Mitrovic, it is pretty clear that Scott wants to play Brown at the wing. I haven't seen her percentage, but I've gotten the impression that she has a good 3-pt shot. The ones I've seen on film show good form.

Well, it's not exactly Kareem's "Sky Hook", but it's something. This team, man.

I think beavsteve needs to reread that sentence.

LOL, thickhead, but she will get to go to Hawaii every year.
Does anyone know for sure, do the incoming freshman get to travel with the team to Italy? I'm guessing that since they enroll in the summer for the bridge (or whatever they call it now) program, they are eligible to make the trip, but I'm not positive on that.
