Good grief, the sixth pic down? How do you people find this stuff? And thanks. LOL !! well when your retired and have lots of time. It's cold and wet out. Your getting over a cold and all you want to do is sit in your easy chair and look on the internet, you sometimes get lucky and stumble onto things like this.

On October 10th, the Beaver WBB staff was back in Kansas, this time for Payton Verhulst, a 6-1 G ranked #10 in 2021. Is noted as being “unselfish” in her evaluations, and that is not something Dan Olson writes regularly. Lots of other programs, including tsdtr, have been in Kansas for her.
Add in the two PNW prospects and the Beavs are all ready in on a lot of great 2021 talent!

So glad to have season tickets! OSU Athletic Director needs to make sure Rueck NEVER has a reason to consider some other institution's coaching offer.

It took Talia von Oelhoffen just nine games into her sophomore season to eclipse 1,000 points.

Not sure SR is about the $ or ever will be, but OSU will never be able or willing to match the $ of ND, Texas, Baylor, Tennessee, UConn, etc. Although many of those named and more are tied to coaching trees... hiring from their area. I'll tell you that friends tell me that boosters at UCLA have SR in their crosshairs. If it is about simply the $, OSU couldn't match the Bruins unless a group of big donors helped. That info said, don't see SR going anywhere until he retires. Of course I thought MR was the perfect fit for Corvallis and that he'd figure that out too, loyalty or not! So... never say never I guess.

He has said that he doesn't want OSU to be a step to a destination, he wants OSU to be the destination. This is a paraphrase not a direct quote. I don't see him leaving any time soon, his extended family is nearby and they are very important to him.

Totally agree with baseba1111 and believeinthebeavs - SR is not going anywhere for a good long time. Nearby extended family he values greatly. Raising a bunch of kids in a fantastic place to raise kids (I am in the midst of raising 2 kids in Corvallis, and whatever their interests, they can pursue them at a high level with ~5 minute commutes between activities). The proven ability to create a perennial Sweet-16/Elite-8 contender *here* (which MR was unable to do, and not sure MR thought he could do it here). The $ goes a lot further in Corvallis (making Bay Area wages without dealing with Bay Area prices keeps me very happy), so a pay bump would have to be quite substantial, and then you have the aforementioned issues that money can't fix....... As DE (I believe) said - "if you're happy, stay happy". I don't see SR with much to be unhappy about :-). Go Beavers!

Here is some game film of West Linn HS (Oregon) which features 5* 2021 6-3 post Aaronette Vonleh, the #1 post in the class of 2021 and the #13 overall player.
I have seen no signs that OSU is recruiting her, given that none of the coaches follow her on social media, but she is an intriguing prospect to say the least. She uses her large, strong frame very well to her advantage and is very nimble in the post and has a soft touch too. Posts up really well and has great hands. She struggles getting up and down the court at times, but seems mobile in the halfcourt. Also shows range as she hits from three toward the beginning. I believe she has been offered by Southern Cal and Arizona.

Unfortunately the Beav's don't need more 5/4's. Guards/Wings in 2021, but not 5's. Although two of the peeps they seem to be looking at are 5's. Seems like 4 posts should be enough.

I think we need to wait and see who ends up at post and who ends up at forward. Right now, only Trish looks like a pure post player. Jones, Aquino, and Brown all have the potential to play at forward.

Aaronette Vonleh is a 2021 recruit, so Taya will be gone, Trish will be a senior, and Kennedy, Taylor, and Andrea will be heading into their junior seasons. We don't know how well any of them will work out, and we don't know who will be healthy. Depending on who is landed in the 2020 class, you're probably going to want a couple more post/power types.

I really do feel that the need for an additional PF or C in 2021 depends on a few things. 1) Who plays what position. Does Kennedy play out on the wing as a 3, or is she more a stretch 4? Is Taylor a 4 or a 5? Is Andrea a 4 or a 5. Obviously at this point, those three questions are relatively unknowns, and it is hard to determine what positions will be in need by the time 2021 recruiting picks up. 2) Do we add Dalayah Daniels in 2020? She projects as a wing-forward in 2020, so that would obviously have an impact on things too. 3) Does anyone transfer in/out of the program by 2021?
