Her coach better get her working on that left hand...A lot of her dribble penetration will end only in tears if she releases every time with her right. But, you gotta admit she looks pretty darn good for a kid you hasn't yet started her Junior year in high school.... Has she indicated any interest in OSU? A few things could help us out here: 1. Talia traveled to Italy with Taylor and Kennedy this summer. I’m sure those two will be helping the staff recruit her this summer. 2. I have seen her interact with Jamie Weisner on social media, so perhaps that will help too . Not sure if this Picture has been posted before but I will post it again for those that haven't seen it. I agree with 411500 that she will have to be able to deliver the ball with her left hand as well as the right. I hope Kennedy and Taylor work on her and get her to OSU. Go Beavers !! A few possible 2021 recruits accepted their invitation the the USA Basketball Women’s U16 National Team Trials:
Payton Verhulst (Bishop Miege H.S./De Soto, Kan.) Aaronette Vonleh (West Linn H.S./West Linn, Ore.) Taylor Bigby (Centennial H.S./Las Vegas, Nevada)

Rueck spotted on the sideline watching Payton. She certainly appears to be a top target for 2021. She and Goforth are very good friends, and she and Kennedy have developed a relationship as well, so hopefully those two can give us an assist in recruiting!

I wonder if our Coaching Staff is recruiting Aaronette Vonleh, the 6'3 standout from West Linn - right here in Oregon... I don't know anything about her first-hand, but she is a Top 15 National Recruit in her class (2021).
Maybe someone here on the board knows something about her since she plays in the PDX radius...
Off topic, but interesting to me because it relates to OSU's recruiting territory: 3 of the top 8 rated 2021 players attend high school in California... Someone's going to land them !! (Cali has zero players ranked in the top 20 in the 2020 class).
At any rate, I'd be interested in learning more about Aaronette Vonleh if anyone has anything to share.....
GO BEAVS !!

I have seen no substance that led me to believe we are recruiting her. She has a soft touch and big frame. USC and Arizona have offered I believe.

Verhulst apparently playing extremely well, as Mike Flynn from Blue Star media named her one of just three players he thinks is an obvious lock. A Goforth, Verhulst, and Clark/Van Lith back court sounds scary.
One of the others? 6’7” 2022 Lauren Betts. If Rueck develops Morris, Mitrovic, and Jones as well as he has done with posts in the past, hopefully she will be the next.

I'm surprised Vonleh stayed in the Portland area after her brother was traded from the Trail Blazers. Very good prospect, and a stat stuffer.

Verhulst is very talented. Definitely at the top of my wishlist for 2021.

I'm with you on Payton, and I think having Kennedy and Sasha really increases our chance of landing her. I hope she is an early commit to the Beavs, and we don't get the 'early' commits that often (I'm talking before May of their Junior year).

twitter.com/3Stripewbb?s=17A pair of potential 2021 recuits in Talia von Oelhoffen and AJ Marotte are playing for the USA Select team in Barcelona. That twitter page posts streams and stats for the game. Both are very impressive, and von Oelhoffen can really shoot it.

Coach Rueck was a guest speaker at the chamber luncheon a week or two ago that my wife attended. She was thoroughly impressed with him,and he stated he has passed on recruiting higher talented players because they weren't the right fit. It's very important to him and the success of this program. She understands how Coach Rueck can be such a great closer and recruiter because he has "IT". So relatable and a genuine person. That is how we can sign the great prospects like Goforth,Jones, etc from all across the country.

Aside from finding the right fit, it creates a certain desirability of an OSU offer as recruits will know these aren't handed out to anyone. We've come along way from holding open tryouts to where we are now. :-)
