Maybe now he can finally put on his big boy pants and say why he quit. Or hell....at least answer a question from a reporter. Or will he issue a statement that he was hired by Utah.

Probably a good fit. He’s a Utah guy and he and Whittingham are good friends. He also loves coaching defense (for being a former offensive player, he sure dodn’t have a very good grasp of offensive football) Wonder if he’ll maintain those warm and fuzzy feelings for Corvallis that he espoused 3 years ago if he’s still on the Utes’ staff the next time they come to Reser? If he does return, it will be interesting to see the reception he gets and what type (if any) of conversations come up with the local media. That was one weird departure.

He will prob text Canzano that he never should have hired Corvallis as a city.... then weeks latter poof. Gone never to be found again. What a joke!! Seriously he left in the middle of the night.

When is Whittingham going to hire someone that can figure out offense? It's amazing how consistently strong they are on defense, and yet 9 offensive coordinators in the past 10 years has led to one awful offense after another. My Ute coworker has lost hope in ever seeing a competent offense in SLC.

Utah and Andersen deserve each other. May they both continue to suck.

My Ute coworker has lost hope in ever seeing a competent offense in SLC. On every staff there is a clear focus. Utah's focus is definitely on defense, so what you end up with is a situation where they take most of their talented 2-way potential athletes and steer them toward the defensive side of the ball. It's not all of them, it's just a clear lean/tendency that winds up having the net result of being dominant on defense and inconsistent on offense.

Defensive assistent/associate head coach per football scoop.com. I hope Utah lets him coach QBs. If Utah gets any worse at developing QB's they will be worse than Oregon State the last few seasons, or should just disband the position entirely. Use 2 RB or something. On another similiar tangent, Utah has been competitive and at times very very good in the last decade, and yet so epically bad at the "throw game" lets retire that phase right along with "big boy pants". See below, the UW, WSU, and Colorado not having anyone makes sense, they were the Beavers of the mid 2000s, but Utah? they can't even manage a Brock Osweiler. 2017 Pac 12 Qbs in the NFL Arizona : Foles ASU : Osweiler USC : Palmer, Cassel, Sanchez, Barkley, Kessler UCLA : Hundley CAL : Rodgers, Goff, Webb Stanford : Luck, Hogan Washington : WSU : Oregon : Clemens, Mariota OSU Moore, Anderson, Mannion Utah : Smith* Colorado :
