Big difference between football and women's basketball, roster size is a one.
Rueck had a program that was damn close to being elite if not there. And then covid, the portal, and a few disgruntled players hit. In a few years he have his program back up there again. Wbb is one sport that a second level team can compete in.

If the Beavs don't lose any, or few, players, I doubt SR will add any players. I could be very wrong, but he seems like the type who wouldn't want to mess with this chemistry and would prefer to look for further development from this group. That might work. There is every expectation this team will be a top 10 team next year.
I'd prefer to see him take a chance though at going all out for a top 5 team. Hit the portal looking to add one more big who can give quality minutes especially if Timea or Raegan are injured, and look for one more scoring guard. One who has proved they can hit the 3, but also get to the hoop. Perhaps a player in the program, an AJ, Dom, Adlee, etc. will be ready for that role, but do you sit back and wait and hope for that to happen, or make a move to make it happen. I think SR holds with what he's got. That's a fairly safe move (non-move). I just don't know if it is the right move if you really want to make the final four next year. The other option would be to pick up a young player or two in the portal, who may not have had much of a chance their freshman season, but could come to Oregon State and play a big role after Talia and AJ graduate.
