Not sure what you are referring to. What question did I ask? Sorry. Let me rephrase my post. I’m not telling anyone what to do or what not to do. But the original poster asked a question. And I gave an honest answer. OK...I am interested in the topic. So I will discuss it with others who are interested and willing to discuss it.

Adding to the whole women's basketball NIL discussion, there were nine players in the nation going into the season with NIL valuations above $200,000. Could it come into play for Oregon State? Sure. But I doubt that it will.

But I doubt that it will. Yeah... and valuations aren't near real values ever received. The $50k to mbb player's, let alone wbb, is far from normal. People just make crap up. As I've posted direct quotes from several ADs previously... low 5 figure deals for mbb are rare. And, one of those was from Kansas. I'd love to see proof (since they're isn't any, as NILs rarely will share details on total $) of all the B12, B10 schools giving 5 figures to wbb. And as most know the vast majority of deals are some cash payout. They are marketing/swag/merch deals given some retail value. ALSO... Osu's Toyota deal has nothing to do with leased vehicles I can also tell you OSU's "combined" NILs don't have $10 mil. Lol... if OSU needed $50k for each mbb or wbb player to keep talent you might as well kiss the programs good bye. The made up BS is just nonstop.

and yet some 'regular' students struggle to feed themselves... So OSU should drop all sports moving forward? Yes.

So OSU should drop all sports moving forward? Yes. You do know that would include women's basketball, right?

She gets a lot of opportunities to be sponsored by a variety of products because she's an Olympic gold medalist.

And, as mentioned based on her Olympic and international competitions.

It's my belief the NIL collective will have to pay players. They will also need to have this stood up before the WBB season ends so they can secure the roster. To be a "P5" program you need to be paying a minimum of $30k to every basketball player. They also need to finish out the Toyota deal and put players in a lease during their time in the program. Beers and Gardner would have zero problem finding a $200k paycheck next year. I don't know their families' situations but that is life changing in some cases. With the latest ruling they can now negotiate before committing once released from their current program. and yet some 'regular' students struggle to feed themselves... If a 'regular' student is struggling to feed himself, where does he find the money for books, tuition, and fees? How many OSU students do you know personally who are going to bed hungry?

Doubtful that she’s still getting anything close to that now.

How many OSU students do you know personally who are going to bed hungry? Go volunteer at the men's shelter and ask the 5-6 there how many days out of the week they don't eat.

I don't know the financial numbers but she definitely lands product sponsorship on a regular basis. I'm sure the tour was very lucrative.

It's actually fairly easy to figure out what schools are giving decent cash, LSU, TAM, TCU. All of the lousy programs that name players are transferring to. Mulkey helped, but seriously.

Well, this thread took an unexpected turn, that probably should have been expected.
Personally, I'm more than happy to talk about next season. This season has been a ton of fun, and I'm looking forward to next year as well. I'm a huge follower of recruiting, so I'm always looking ahead.
With that said, I hope we can find all of the games on TV or streaming. It looks like that won't be an issue.
I'm really curious about the non-conference schedule next year. Hopefully they will return to playing a couple powerhouse teams. Playing the Notre Dame's, South Carolina's, LSU's, Duke's have been part of the non-conference schedule in recent years. I'd love to keep playing Jackson State. They usually have talent and play hard which is a good test to get the Beavs going.
