1. I think everyone acknowledges will be Destiny Slocum. Goodman and Kalmer behind?
2, 3. Off guard and wing. Choice between Tudor, McWilliams, Pivec and Simmons?
It will be interesting to see how it all shakes out.

I really hope McWilliams works on her offense during the offseason. With a true point guard on the floor she could have a monster season if she can develop some more moves to the basket. She routinely breaks down her defender and gets space to only dish the ball and give up either a lane to the basket or an open shot.
With her size and athleticism she COULD be a dominant player.

It will be interesting to see how it all shakes out. I think Simmons is a good enough ball handler and distributor that she has the potential be a backup at point guard as she gets more experience. Clearly she first needs to learn the large # of plays Rueck has and learn to play defense the way Beavers play defense. In the meantime, we are going to need that good ball-handling on the floor with Slocum, especially with teams like we saw today. I was very disappointed that Kalmer didn’t break through this year. I get the impression that she slumped instead. I hope she hasn’t lost confidence and enthusiasm because she’s going to need it to compete for playing time next year. I think the key for next year is getting Morris up to speed at center, playing D and rebounding. I’ll take whatever she can give us on offense. After what I read on this board about Aquino’s physical development, I think we are going to have to be patient; if Morris can anchor us at center, that shouldn’t be a problem.

I think Goodman will also be in the mix for time at the ‘2’.
If both Pivec and Goodman share the ‘2’ you have two players that have decent point guard skills at a position where they will not be facing the other team’s ‘1’ (Destiny will be causing headaches for that player).
The ball movement possibilities in that situation are exciting. It should also open up Pivec for more of her patented power drives to the hoop.
Beaver WBB will continue to be the most enjoyable basketball team on campus to watch/follow for years to come!

It will be interesting to see how it all shakes out. Yes it will. Goodman is such a tremendous three point threat, it would be great to have her playing the off guard also. I also agree with the post that states that McWilliams has the potential to be a great offensive player. She is already a wonderful all-around player.
I also believe Pivec will be a much improved offensive threat playing at the off guard vs the point guard.

We'll certainly see more rotation in those 3 spots and a lot less of players going 35+ minutes. KatieMc went 40 against Baylor and Tennessee.

With what is returning, how PT played out, and who is being added... will not be surprised if Taylor moves on. I do not see her breaking into the lineup in any fashion unless 2-3 others are hurt of just plain fall of the map.
Pivec will be the one who needs to develop a consistent offense to keep her minutes. Destiny running the point and getting D's to collapse, Pivec is the worst of our outside threats and needs to improve her release time. She also will not be the in the top couple best options at PG from what I've seen of Destiny and Simmons. Pivec obviously provides some key components, but as with any elite team, recruits coming in are getting better than the recent recruits. She'll be pushed to match her PT of the last two years without offensive improvements.

Even if her offensive game remains stagnant, she will start. Depth will be much improved.

But, you can't have new post(s), with TC on the court and Pivec without sitting a much better shooter. In a 4 out set you need shooters. Destiny will start in Pivec's spot... Katie will start... Tudor will start... one of the frosh bigs... TC is prob the 5th... the rest will be a crap shoot on who can hit shots... Pivec will be down on that list unless she improves, especially if Jazz is as good as she looks... bigger more offensive version of Pivec

Destiny practiced with the team all year. She knows the plays, and how hard to have to play on defense.
Hearing Kalmer might transfer to someplace back in AZ for her final year. Her playing time next year will be minimal with Slocum and the other incoming guard (Simmons?).

She took on a role this year as point guard for the first time since she was literally a child. And with her in that role, the team did admirably (Elite 8 ain't chopped liver). I expect she will apply herself to her different role next season with the same determination and maturity. There is going to be plenty of room in the rotation next season for a player with her physical strength and nose for the rebound...especially at the "2" (and maybe '3') position.

Actually not... as you are not... it's speculation... and Pivec could begin the season as a starter, but unless she develops a better release and a decent offensive game she will not be on the court much or lose a starting gig. It'll play out... good situation to have.

There is no way that Pivec doesn't start next year. All hustle and heart and the toughness we gotta have from someone on the court.
