Our bracket is OSU vs Fullerton and Florida State vs either LSU or Mississippi State

I don't think that's right. Fullerton, yes, but the other two will be FSU and LSU/MSU winner, if I'm reading the bracket correctly.

Our bracket will have #1 seed vs #8 and #4 vs #5 - or those teams that came from the bracket with those seeds. Texas Tech was the #5 seed, but Florida State will represent that bracket. LSU is the #5 seed and either they or MSU will come out of that bracket. #1 seed OSU will play the team from Stanford's bracket, as Stanford was #8. That team is Fullerton. (post corrected).

You are correct - I should have said Fullerton. I will change the post.

Come on LSU! I do not want to face Mississippi State in Omaha again. Not superstitious, just not a fan of Starkville's minions.

LSU has been red-hot. Would much rather face MSU, but it's looking like LSU is going to sweep (up 9-4 in the 5th right now).
I'd rather face anybody else on the other side of the bracket than LSU. I'm thinking the finals could be anti-climactic if we get past them...
GO BEAVS!

Hosting some directional Louisiana schools in their regional and getting an MSU team that they already swept in conference play. I kind of expect them to turn out to be a paper tiger (!) in Omaha, just like Florida State turns out to be EVERY season. Those SE teams don't ever get TRULY tested during the regular season. They play their familiar conference schedule, then get everyone and anyone they want at home the rest of the season.

LSU has one thing, a big set of trophies from Omaha. We have to go through them, and they have my respect.

I personally think that Cal State Fullerton will present more match-up problems than LSU. But on Oregon State's side of the bracket, they are the 1A and 1B contenders. I see Florida State living up (down?) to their paper tiger billing again this year. To me, the Seminoles appear to be the weakest team heading to Omaha. In my opinion, Florida is the only team from the other side of the bracket that you could reasonably put in the same breath as Cal State Fullerton and LSU. If Wake Forest comes back on Florida, they would be the most problematic team on that side of the bracket. Vanderbilt is better (or at least comparable) to Louisville, Texas A&M, and TCU.

Hey baws, LSU had 4 players return that were draft eligible. Kramer "lil sweet" Robertson, Greg Deichmann (i'm sure you have heard of him), Jared Poche, and Cole "drank" Freeman. Funny comment on the paper tiger though...remind me how many titles does OSU have again?

Funny comment on the paper tiger though...remind me how many titles does OSU have again? They returned cuz they weren't drafted? And OSU has two titles. Remind me how past titles translate to wins in 2017 again?

They were drafted, decided to come back, remind me how past performances translates to losses in 2017 again?

The Tigers only have titles from the Gorilla Ball era. That's not what works in Omaha anymore.
