SE teams are tested quite a bit simply by playing the conference schedule. Traveling to non conference games is pretty much a non issue when you travel to weekend conference series. The SEC are tested by one another. Like Mississippi St vs Oregon? |

I vote we ban these lsu turds. They aren't bringing anything interesting to say about the team we follow, if I want to read about how great the sec is, there's thousands of internet sites to find that. LSU may win it all, I still wouldn't care about them, they may go 2 and a q and I still wouldn't care. If they want to talk about the Beavs they can stay, if they want to talk about the sec and LSU, give them the boot, there are virtually unlimited places on the internet for them to wave their flag, why should we tolerate it here?

Interesting comments about SE teams not getting tested in the regular season, or LSU playing at home all the time. Incorrect but interesting. Except for 3 games in Houston, you played every non-conference game in the state of Louisiana. That would be the definition of correct. Though, not very interesting. It's SOP. Is Omaha LSU's longest road trip of the year? |

Don't be so butthurt. The comment that was made earlier was merely disputing the statement that SE teams are not truly tested during the season. They are and it's a fact. Any time multiple teams from ANY conference make it to the CWS that says something. Having said that, there is nothing in my earlier comments that was touting the strength of LSU over any other team. I believe that the bracket with OS and LSU is the toughest. If any team from this bracket make it to the final undefeated, have to be odds on favorite to win it all. ANY team from this bracket. Oh, and I did see bits and pieces of the OS games. Tough looking team with really good pitching. |

Mix & match middle relief. vs UCLA we used 5 relievers....in the 9th alone! It was wild. Mullholand (Freshman) and Englebrekt (Senior) tend to close out games. But we are not afraid to use anybody that matches up. I know that doesn't help much. Beavers like the small ball. Chicks might dig the long ball but we like Beaver ball. Bunt em on, bunt em over and hit em in. Or just have a WP on a strikeout so the guy on 2nd can score. We have had some wild crazy endings. This team is a bunch of grinders. The ESPN color guy called us 9 swiss army knives. That tells the story perfectly. We have won a lot of close games. KJ Harrison is hot right now. He is a good hitter. Maybe not as good as will toffey but good. Hit 2 HRs in the rain in the Super. Balls don't carry much in the rain. His did. But he won't hit any HRs in the CWS. If danny Hayes can't jack one then it cannot be done. (inside joke/sad story) Madrigal is our all everything guy. Pac 12 POTY. He dinged his hand a few weeks ago. So he just bunted for hits.....4 times in a row. That is the Swiss army knife coming out. Need a can opener (bunt) pull one out. Need a LH reliever with filthy? Pull one out. Pat Casey has an amazing intuition. He follows hunches on players all the time. Look for a guy that has not seen the field for a month to get a start. And play well. I know that is not what you are looking for. This team will not wow you w/eye popping stats. They come to play every game, every AB. |
