Not sure what people expect. Considering MC had to throw together a schedule around other schools schedule, having 8 less home games isn't bad at all. The other schools had the upper hand and they used it to get home games.

Turnaround from at Hawaii to home vs UP is gonna be a tough one
2026 will be interesting to see how it pens out..as the new pac12 isn't a BB powerhouse...Maybe a scheduling alliance with an exiting conference like the B12

I bet not. Sorry, I like home games. Going to the ballpark only 11 times in a span of 60 days, and probably having less than 10 nice-weather home games, isn't my idea of a good schedule. YMMV.

San Diego is good. Irvine is good. Nebraska is good. Lot of comments just ignoring Virginia, Auburn, Oklahoma State, Grand Canyon.
Historically, Gonzaga, Dirtbags and Fullerton have been good, hopefully they have decent seasons this year. CSUN wasn't horrible. Hawaii always sold. .
Hopefully, the Big 10 doesn't crater Oregon, Washington and UCLA's RPI.
This is a decent schedule and pretty good when you consider how quickly it had to come together.

How is Virginia not an OSU level opponent? Champions in 2015, runner up in 2014, CWS 09, 11, 14, 15, 21, 23, 24 and in the post season 18 times since 2000? So, you're saying two teams, two total games?🤔 But, OkSt mentioned preceded by "not many"... NOT the only🤣 Hey if you made it confusing that's not on me George.

I wonder how this purely independent schedule impacts pitching rotation? Classic conference rotation has Fr-Sa-Su as the top guys and mid week starts go to developing guys. Is that all out the window now that all games are non-conference?

Thank you for the analysis and numbers. So much better than the speculation and negativity. FWIW... it is speculation. Last year's teams and finishes aren't this seasons. It’s a fair starting point though, and it’s a way to look at this schedule objectively. Personally, I think the Beaver name Carrie’s enough weight that all we have to do is win and the rest will take care of itself. Early word is that we have a strong team, and if that’s true, we’ll be good.

I want the Hawaii games in February or March, not May.

Unless the 20 years and still going sleeping giant USC wakes up, UCLA finds a new home that is still close to campus and Dan Savage is willing to stay (not saying he's thinking about leaving, but the situation at UCLA doesn't help), and Washington rediscovers their 2018 magic, they'll just be additional anchors for the Big 10 RPI.

The 2024 schedule, only 20 homes games. Goss is gonna be a lonely place in April and May. The consequences for remaining independent and not having conference home series. Season ticket of $500 = $25 per game, pretty darn steep for college baseball. View Attachment12 weekend home games, half of which are in March, at Goss just flat out sucks. But somehow, this was able to keep the team intact and not be affected by the portal. Speaking of which, isn't there another portal period in the Fall? But do all these road games have a positive impact for the RPI, in that there is an extra boost for a win, and a loss doesn't impact it as much?

The Round Rock tournament includes Oklahoma, not Oklahoma State
