The Pac-12 strategy to expand in multiple phases may have backfired. The MWC is using the exit fees from the four that departed to sweeten the pot for the other ones to stay.

I didn't realize he was the Pac-12 commissioner.

No, what would have been a financial disaster is being extorted by s%#tty AAC programs to pay their departure fee, and then paying inflated prices on travel to destinations halfway or entirely across the country.

It's better to have Reno and sacramento state? Sacramento State, FFS, at least get real if you're going to pose a counter argument. I'll wait and see what happens before rushing to judgment. However, taking those three AAC teams and having to pay their departure fees would have been a disaster.

We just went Michael Corleone on baptism day on the MWC by taking their five best franchises. Once the reverse merger was off the table, taking the best of the MWC was always the best option.

There is a reason we didn't take them at first. The only team it impacts that is a target is UNLV, and they didn't come in round one for political reasons with the state itself. There was no avoiding that.

It all seems to be riding on UNLV . For the gamblers on the board , does UNLV come with us or stay put ?
