Giving gonzaga a full share even without football? Anybody ever think that gonzaga might fall flat on their face when Few leaves? Sure they've been good, real good for 25 years but they aren't kentucky or Kansas. I'd like to see where a basketball only school brings in enough additional dollars in combined league revenues and playoff units to justify an equal full share. Lets say a full share ends up being 10 million. How much additional money would they actually be bringing in to the Pac? Enough to cover that 10 million some or most years? I've no clue on that account. I'm assuming some years any individual school could/will essentially be a net loss if performance is down, and that's OK. Gonzaga obviously would raise the Pac's status in basketball initially. But, is basketball alone enough money to be worth a full share?

Who is on the “you’re fired” list for being this insanely incompetent. Why were the AAC discussions so public and slow. The Pac got the 4 top MWC schools because they were covert. Moronically dumb. Is that a redundancy? And, you're sure it wasn't one of the AAC schools that leaked it for more bargaining leverage?

Someone finally said yes! This feels like trying to get a date for the prom and the first half a dozen girls you asked said no thanks.

Go get the Nevada schools RIGHT NOW I would find it supremely funny if we took UNR and UNLV stayed. The thing is, we're burning through those poaching fees. Wouldn't it have been smarter to just pay the AAC 4 (or at least 3 minus USF) their exit fees to get them over? What's really ridiculous is reading some Memphis posters and apparently the Memphis admin is 100% convinced they will get an ACC or Big12 invite by 2030.

Why wasn't unlv grabbed with the other 4 and in silent negotiations bring in UT San Antonio all at the same time? Now we are in the begging stage.

If this was a major business somebody's head would roll. Oh wait this is a major business. Nothing rolling...yet.

Do you realize that is $110 million? No, it isn't. It's what the AAC initially proposed as the exit fee. Just like everyone else who left the AAC before, it gets negotiated. Everyone pointed to SMU, but SMU left nearly a year sooner. It's more like when Houston, etc. left. And that is being paid out over 14 years. You could take $5 million and put it towards lawyer's fees and I would bet money you'd get a better deal than $110 million...by more than the amount you spent on lawyers. It also depends upon what the increased media value and CFP value would have been with those schools added. I still think West/East pods would have been a difference maker for travel costs and could have gotten you maybe a couple extra million a year. It's just hard to figure out since it's all speculation. On top of all this, now Pac-12 just looks like a complete fool, yet again. Sometimes you have to pay to not look like a fool. Offer them $18 million a piece - USF wasn't going to take it regardless, and see where you get. You're either in this thing to win this thing or you're going to get lukewarm results.

Memphis has been playing that game for a long time. ACC has said no numerous times, the Big12 said no in the last few years. Wait, wait, and wait some more.

Sorry I have to let loose. Jesus mother f@#$#ng chr@#t. Who is the a@@h##e that put this deal together. Let's make a deal where we buy a car without the tires and then watch other competitors buy all the tires.

If you do your research on USU, this is going to work out much better than some here think. Welcome aboard, AggieLarry!

But you'd have been happy with Memphis and their 50-year history of NCAA violation after violation? To quote my friend rgeorge, lol!
