I'm sure we're still a ways off of it, but what's the highest scoring game in beaver baseball history? Still 2 innings left and we have to get 6 outs to win this thing... Judge Smails nailed the Chico State game. That is the most runs scored ever. I know that Oregon State was involved in a 47-run game, the 25-22 loss to UCLA in 2022. Oregon State lost that game to Portland back in 2006, 20-13. Oregon State lost to Washington 26-14 in 2004. Oregon State lost to Cal 19-13 back in 2003. The last time that Oregon State beat a team in a game in which 32+ runs were scored was against New Mexico, 18-16 also in 2003. The last time that Oregon State won a road game in which 32+ runs were scored was in Pullman, 22-21 in 2002. We also beat UP 33-3 in 1997.

You can't score 20 runs without having a lot of baserunners. It is inevitable some are going to be LOB. Uh..I think you score 20 by NOT leaving men on base. Uh, unless the final RBI of every inning is by a homer, SF or groundout, you're going to leave guys on base. One of the most inconsequential stats in baseball.

Fun fact, Oregon State has only been involved in two 20-13 baseball games in Beaver history. 2006 was the only other time............and that was a loss.........to Portland.......at Goss.

Any road win is a good win for this squad. Glad to see the offense get things going again as well, hopefully that bodes well for future games and the "vibe" in the clubhouse for the stretch run.

Let’s see. They can’t pitch, don’t play defense, bad on the bases and don’t put enough balls in play. Home runs must be the greatest deodorant ever. This team is a regional format has a razor thin margin. I've come around on the can't pitch side of things lately. We have 6 or 7 arms I trust to some extent, but depthwise is a big question mark. If this team has to play more than 3 games I'm worried, but I think we actually set up in a Super OK if we can get to that point. Our bullpen depth is a big concern though. Sure seems like every team's pitching staff gets gassed in the regionals and supers and then especially at Omaha. I was always impressed with the way Casey and Nate would use the arms they had to manage the schedule. It will be interesting to see how Canham and Dorman manage the pitching staff through it all.

The good news is we're just as screwed as pretty much everyone else. It's all about the offense.

In my opinion we are not worthy of being one of the top 8 teams. Our offense would pass muster but our defense and especially pitching aren't good enough to be at that level. 8 ?, we are not a top 16 and are a prime candidate to go out at a regional Yes we are...and yes, we are.

It is a great thing that I was so busy that I did not have to read the same thing to the infinite power.
The Beavs' hitting will keep Oregon State in most ballgames. The Beavs' pitching and defense (especially the defense) will help make sure that no one is ever that comfortable.

Lost amidst all the offense, that was a Huge finish for Hutcheson to come in and plug the leak.

The question is still out as to 8. The Beavs' run differential says that Oregon State is better than their record would indicate.

Lost amidst all the offense, that was a Huge finish for Hutchison to come in and plug the leak. I could've done without giving up the homer right away, but otherwise a solid outing. Great to not have to go to Bridger and still get the job done.
