Wow, the hubris the Ducks show. Mullens wants to do everything he can to continue the series?...after he is one of the players that created this mess that we are in. If they really wanted to do that, they should not have duped everyone and said they were in on the GOR, then bailed with UW at the last minute. I for one think we should not play them in any of our sports. They have helped contribute to us being in an untenable situation.

Yeah... that's the OSU Fandom we want! JFC... like other fan bases had anything to do with teams leaving. Lol... by that immature neck beard logic, I guess OSU fans should be lambasted for our university not being wanted. |

It has been my personal experience that f**k fans have little to no respect for any opponent let alone the Beaver players or fans. I don't think we should make any effort to play them again after this season.

Of course, we should continue to play them. On a home-and-home basis, or it's a deal-breaker.
Never make a financial decision based on emotion. OSU-UO games are always the best gates of the year, in any sport, and we will need the revenue. Having them on the home FB schedule sells more season tickets, every other year.
Play UO either Week 1 or Week 2. Play another OOC game vs. a Big Sky opponent, then someone else (although I think if we merge with the MWC, they should go to a 10-game league schedule). With a 10-game league schedule when we are guaranteed six home games a year, or seven in the years we host the Ducks.

Didn't we just read that the rivalry is uo vs uw? Isn't that why they took both?
A rivalry game at the beginning of a season just seems wrong. I can see a rivalry with wsu developing.
Sounds like the f**ks are positioning themselves to look better saying they tried but it just couldn't be set up. Or they tried but OSU didn't want to.

I'd question a 10 game league schedule, feels like it'd handicap the conference considering all the conferences that play 9 and even 8 league games. Just having a 9 game league schedule kinda handicapped the Pac 12 at times. I'm not even sure it'd guarantee 6 home games. With 10 league games I'd think there'd be 5 at home, 5 away for league games, then you'd only have 2 OOC games a year. If playing the ducks were an annual event there would only be 1 other OOC game and it would have to be in Reser to get 6 or 7 home games. Am I thinking incorrectly here? |

I don't agree with berating fans of opponents visiting Reser, but anyone who thinks there won't be some added animosity and venom directed towards those teams is completely delusional. This season's conference games are going to be filled with vitriol, and perhaps yes, more cantankerous than usual. And yeah I'll say it.....they should be. The conference f%#*ed us.....Beavs will play with a chip on their shoulders all season long. UCLA....Utah....Washington. You might not like it, but it's gonna be ugly and nasty.
