Give him 2 weeks to think about it. Or give me 2 weeks so I don’t have to read his gloat posts when this all goes down bad. There will be no gloating, no matter what. As I have said, repeatedly, I know all of this is hard for you guys. If you end up in the expanded MWC (even if it's called the PAC-14), yes, I will be back, but not to gloat. I'll be here to cheer you on. I will root for the Beavs in every game, except against the Aggies. No gloating, just genuine enthusiasm for a great new conference mate. If you end up making a very bad choice, traveling all the way across the continent to play the refugees from the Sun Belt and Conference USA in the badly diluted AAC, I'll still be cheering for you. You see, I live less than an hour from Corvalis. With the exception of Michigan State, Ohio State, and I guess Cal, I always cheer for the Land Grant, even when they'd rather I didn't. I don't have any educational ties to any school in Oregon, but I have adopted Oregon State. I am now officially the booger you can't flick off... Go Beavs! Go AGGIES! Thanks, always good to know Stuart Smalley has our back. |

Good grief, all the disdain from this group. Ridiculous on its face, especially ridiculous to direct at the Utah State fan. Those of you doing this do realize (i hope) that your disdain for MWC is EXACTLY how the blue bloods feel about OSU. The arrogance here is astounding considering the reality that we haven’t been consistently relevant in any major sports except baseball.

I appreciate aggielarry's posts. While I wish OSU and WSU were not in this situation, I am trying (not always successfully to look for the positives.) I honestly prefer joining with the MWC conference to the AAC, because OSU and WSU have much in common with many of the MWC schools, the travel for our sports teams would be easier than with the AAC schools. I realize the disadvantages, but I could support working the MWC schools in some fashion. Thank you aggielarry for extending a welcome to OSU and WSU. I also would not mind seeing the Air Force Academy come to Corvallis on an occasional basis.
