That would be acceptable...assuming we get a decent share of the pie

So if that's the case, why wouldn't the Big 12 be just as interested in us (if not MORE) if Calfurd/SMU DO get accepted to the ACC?

8 teams from the Pac 12 to the Big 12 would be ideal at this point. In a few years when the college football world comes to it's sense...the 8 go back to the "New Pac-x'.....uw/uo/ucla/usc can beg to rejoin.....Show me the money and we will think about it...

I mean unless its not worth it to them unless they get a certain amount of west coast teams maybe? But that doesn't seem to make a ton of sense. A few is better than none obviously

About the only thing I like about joining the Big12 is OSU vs OSU. Both have orange and black as their colors, could make for a really fun rivalry!

It would put us in a stronger position, and I think makes the Big 12 stronger......better baseball conference too.....With 8 Pac teams in the big 12, could be relatively decent for travel. In this crazy climate, I would prefer to remain in P4 conference.

I don't like seeing the death of the Pac, though. I'd rather see a rebuild with the 4 remaining teams.
But if it's going to die, then the Big 12 isn't a terrible place to land.

Big 12 vs Big 10 is P4 vs P4. Still gonna be tough to schedule, but it MUST be played at both locations on al alternating basis...just like now....

Do we play an extra game to do that or one fewer “prep for the season” game? Can’t say I’m a fan. I’ve pined too long over exes and have learned my lesson. What’s done is done. Don’t go trying to rebuild what they broke. Look to the future.

To be clear, there are a number of things I do not like about joining the Big12. I hate the idea of the retains owed the Pac12 going to each of the former members equally, if the Pac12 ceases to exist, especially the Judas schools that stabbed us and/or the Pac12 in the back. I also hate succumbing to the insanity that is big money controlling college football, and blowing up traditional rivalries/ conferences.
But - if this is the only way to keep up financially, and to keep us relevant - I guess it is our only choice. What would really have me on board is if the Big12 and the remaining four teams in the Pac12 could find a way to "merge" with the Big12 vs being absorbed, and have all of the remaining retains, assets, etc of the Pac go to the last four teams, on top of whatever media deal we would receive in the Big. Now that would sweet!

Now that would sweet! Accept B12 with small or no piece of the media pie..BUT somehow arrange it that were own the P12 funds. Call it some sort of B12/P12 co-conference.... ...that's our payday until the next realignment. The lawyers would all get rich in this approach...
