Wyoming's facilities are as good, or better, than ours. Their north end zone weight facility is awesome. They have an indoor practice facility that's newer and nicer than ours. They have a separate facility for volleyball and wrestling. And they are about to redo the west side of their stadium too, to match the east side, which was renovated several years ago. They have a 15K basketball arena that was extensively renovated several years ago. They also have a state legislature that works with athletics and often matches donations above a certain $ amount, something the Oregon state legislature would never do. They are not a lower-level MWC program. Their AD (Tom Burman) was the AD at Portland State before going to UW. I don't know how much longer he is going to work but he would be a definite ally of OSU and WSU. I don’t doubt what you say. My question then is, why aren’t they ever good? They played in bowl games in 2016, 2017, 2019, 2021 and 2022.

Heck, so does Nevada and they play in a bad HS stadium.

In the last seven years of real football they have played in five bowls, and were bowl-eligible in another season but not selected. What happened in 2014 and 2015 doesn't matter.

I think their best season was 8-5. If we end up in the MWC and go 8-5 I’ll consider it a poor season.

Second, I worry about our record, not someone else's. I'm just saying Wyoming would be more than a competitive program to be in a conference with. Certainly better than Nevada. Of course, 8-5 would also be our second-best record in the last 11 seasons.

They went 13-1 this century, Oregon State? Since 2010 they have 35 more wins than Oregon State...including a win over Oregon State. During that time they have 5 more bowl appearances than OSU. Now...is Nevada a better program than OSU? Of course not. But if your game is pick and choose...

I think we have been the last 2 seasons, and will be going forward. You were the one pumping up Wyoming like their facilities were on par with Alabama’s. I merely asked with such great advantages why haven’t they been better? Hell, they had Josh Allen for heck sakes and still got the crap kicked out of them by the Ducks! (7-6)

I said their facilities were as good or better than ours, not Alabama's. They are. Why haven't they been better? IDK, considering how remote Laramie is, how few in-state and regional D1 players there are, it's amazing they've been that good.
We had Jonathan Smith and Ken Simonton and got the crap kicked out of us by Fresno State. That's football.
Allen was playing injured. And I think UO, playing at home, had a pretty good QB that game too, didn't it?
I'm saying they'd be a competitive opponent in our new conference. Their consistent performance over the last seven seasons proves that.

“considering how remote Laramie is, how few in-state and regional D1 players there are,”
Geez, why didn’t you just say so. Judge came up with that in 5 minutes!
