Oh sweet. If that happens we can rage at our selves for being betrayers.

Oh sweet. If that happens we can rage at our selves for being betrayers. Yeah. This sucks. I don't want to leave those guys behind. I know a s%#tload of Wazzu fans here in Portland. They're amazing. Why would we do this? Money? What about when we're down and they're killing it? We get relegated? Obviously this move would help out baseball, football and I guess all the sports but at what cost? Almost everything. Selling our soul. I can't stand this s%#t. It's disappointing.

I didn't like it when the others left, I'll like it even less if we do. Not sure I could continue to support the Beavs if they sell out.

Everyone is just jumping life raft to life raft without caring that it's completely unsustainable using this dumb model.

Selling out would have been bailing when the two schools caused the collapse of the pac-12. I still think Barnes wants to expand the conference because money would be left on the table from the NCAA. I have no inside knowledge. Saying that, nothing would surprise me anymore. Who knows what he is thinking. The pressure is on his shoulders to make the best decision among the options available for OSU. Whether the Big 12 is one of them, we may find out.

So if Wazoo had an invitation to join the big 12 and it left us out you don't think they'd accept it? Don't care how great your wazoo buddies are. Wazoo would accept the invitation in a heart beat.

The problem with this whole mess is that our TV contract lasted one year too long. Negotiate last year and everything is different.

Would Oklahoma State make us change our colors?

Would Oklahoma State make us change our colors? We changed our logo because of them. I always liked the octagonal O.

I'm also reading/hearing that the ACC has some interesting in taking all 4 teams. The reason being that the ACC is stuck in a 20 year agreement for grant of rights they signed in 2016. Their current media deal is terrible in comparison and there are teams wanting out (FSU). If they can merge with a conference they can go back to the drawing board with new agreements. It would take creative scheduling, but I would choose The ACC over any merger with the Mountain West. The B12 would be nice and a better option for OSU.... but the taking of all 4 teams in an ACC is an interesting idea.

I wouldn't necessarily disagree with that... but I like it better than the merger with the MW. If you keep the 4 teams together in the same division you could theoretically have a few of your away games much closer with travel across country being limited to 2-3 games. For non-revenue sports, it's fairly easy to put together road trips that have you play multiple games over a weekend at the same location. For example wrestling will sometimes have 3 teams at one location to wrestle two duals rather than making 2 trips. It would definitely take some creative scheduling.
