I recall one game she started with a clear mask and that only lasted until the first time out/media break. The protective mask never reappeared. Then she sat out at UW with a gametime decision "injured foot". The specifics of her injury/ies are exactly none of my business - and only I know those closest to her have her best interests at heart and will make all decisions accordingly. My wish is that she's back, fully healed and recharged for the 2023/24 season. Love ya TVO!

Well that answers a couple of questions. speakthetruth,
Yes it does.
However it possibly does not answer several others.
Why was she playing all this time hurt? Did she choose to use up a whole year of eligibility that she could have had left, in order to play while she was so injured that she was a "shadow" of her former self?
This is so similar to me of the Taylor Jones situation.
Something is just not right with this program and it is not the players.
I believe something has "gone off the tracks" in the Coaching, training, medical, etc. aspects of this program.
Sorry, I can not come up with the facts and figures to back up my thoughts however I am sure several others who contribute to this site regularly will have pro and con contributions to make.
Talia is an outstanding person and athlete. Hopefully she will fully recover and come back strong next year with a Coaching Staff that is worthy of her loyalty and commitment.

I agree with your "gone off the tracks" concerns.

Or maybe, basketball is a physical game, and there are all SORTS of lingering issues a player could be playing with, anything from abdominal problems, turf toe, knee tendinitis, that if they are very competitive, aren't enough to keep them out but are certainly enough to cause pain and a degradation of performance. Sometimes you get beat, sometimes there are better players. I know the human mind loves to create conspiracies, but sometimes the simple solutions are the best ones.

As always, insightful and well-stated. I have no disagreement with any of your comments.
That being said, what is there that rules out a possible "simple solution" that the Coaching staff and related components are not providing the type of support, etc., etc. that they have done in the past?

She obviously didn't like it because she took it off soon after

I agree with your "gone off the tracks" concerns. The unsubstantiated crap you two are continue to spout is getting old. Never anything new, valuable, nor backed up by actual facts. I just have one thing to say about the treatment Talia has been given. If it was so bad why is she choosing to stay with the team?

Maybe she likes the coach or the team or the school or her boyfriend or she is loyal or any of another limitless reasons or some or none of the above.

Thank you for your response.
I offer as factual information the win/lose record of the team for the past few years contrasted to the several years prior.
Also, I would add if "the treatment" for players has been so good, why have so many of our best players over the past two years chosen to leave the team?
Perhaps the upcoming transfer portal will give us additional factual information.

In regards to the oregon state women's team's results over the past six or so years lets pretend there isn't something wrong.
