I talked with Jonas at the beginning of the season. He told me the freshman class reminds him of the great Sydney Weise freshman class. As OSU WBB fans, we have much to look forward to in the ensuing seasons. Stay positive.

I always cheer for the team and for the players (have for about 70 years)!
I do not always cheer for the Athletic Directors, Coaches, etc.

Syd's class of her, Gabby, Kolbie, and Bree was a really good class. However, I personally think that the class of Ruth, Deven, Jamie, and Sam was better overall. To have one right after the other made for a great team.
Either way it is a hell of a compliment.

Cheering for the team and players for 70 years? That's really good since they have only been an official ncaa team for 46 years. The first season was 1976-1977. |

I was referring to OSU sports in general.
One of my most memorable recollections is of the November 11, 1967 OSU-USC football game in Corvallis where the Beavs defeated the Trojans (and OJ Simpson) 3-0. I was there at the game at age 24.

Well that answers a couple of questions. speakthetruth,
Yes it does.
However it possibly does not answer several others.
Why was she playing all this time hurt? Did she choose to use up a whole year of eligibility that she could have had left, in order to play while she was so injured that she was a "shadow" of her former self?
This is so similar to me of the Taylor Jones situation.
Something is just not right with this program and it is not the players.
I believe something has "gone off the tracks" in the Coaching, training, medical, etc. aspects of this program.
Sorry, I can not come up with the facts and figures to back up my thoughts however I am sure several others who contribute to this site regularly will have pro and con contributions to make.
Talia is an outstanding person and athlete. Hopefully she will fully recover and come back strong next year with a Coaching Staff that is worthy of her loyalty and commitment.

Taylor has played hurt off and on all this season at Texas. Players play hurt - nobody would have a football team by bowl games If this weren’t the case. |

Talia made sure, in no uncertain terms, that she will be returning next season. She wants everybody know that, fans and teammates. I bet she is doing everything she can to keep her team together. I hope her rehab goes well and she returns to her former self.

I hope for Talia and the team that SR "wakes up" and does whatever is necessary to allow Talia to play the shooting guard position.
Being somewhat of a pessimist, I have a hard time believing he will do so.
