Not life changing money for Will…..but do what you have to. $228,000.00 would greatly change my life............. If properly invested, it potentially opens a lot of doors that would otherwise be closed. I don't know what his scholarship picture looked like, but he could pay off student debt, if any. That's usually a questionable play, but in this market....

Aren’t you omitting Ellsbury in the 2007 draft? Ellsbury was drafted in 2005. I refuse to believe that Ellsbury was drafted 17 years ago. Apparently I'm old and have no concept of time anymore.

So, I have:
1. Cooper Hjerpe Signed 2. Jacob Melton Not Signed 3. Justin Boyd Signed 4. Will Frisch Signed 5. Wade Meckler Not Signed 6. Gavin Logan Not Signed 7. Jake Pfennigs Not Signed 8. D.J. Carpenter Signed
Does anyone have any input on the Melton, Meckler, Logan, and Pfennigs? I have not really heard about any of the four and the efforts to sign them.

Melton and Meckler are gone off to their camps. I believe they have signed, it just hasn't been announced yet.

Too bad, he could have got that (and probably a whole lot more) in 3 years anyway.

Too bad, he could have got that (and probably a whole lot more) in 3 years anyway. Or maybe he would have gotten $0, who knows. My family is great friends with a family of one the players on the team from several years ago. He was drafted once and probably would have been drafted straight out of high school, but he was adamant that he wanted to finish his first three years of college first. He had two other chances to be drafted after that but never was thereafter. Opportunities to play professional baseball do not come along every day, especially for pitchers. I don't fault Gough for taking the money. You can live on several hundred thousand dollars comfortably for the better part of a decade. It is hard to pass that up.
