Courtesy of the SEC Rant message board:
"Oregon State has struggled against some good teams. Due to the fact that Oregon State has been playing cupcake teams in the PAC 12, that has boosted their ranking. Vandy has played countless teams this season in the SEC that have the chance to go the distance. We should be prepared for this regional quite well.
Some more interesting stats Oregon State gave up 25 runs to UCLA the other night but also scored 21. 4.18 team ERA .299 team batting average Oregon State has only played 3 top 25 RPI games and they are 1-2.
Itโs seems that this Oregon State group does the damage with the bats, but you also gotta think that their numbers are boosted due to their week conference. Expect a shootout if neither them or Vandy gets upset and they meet."
How did Vandy do in the Corvallis Super Regional in 2017?
My memory is a bit fuzzy, but I recall them getting their "ass kicked."

Classic SEC provincialism. Pac 12 is about to show just how good it is on the top half. I saw enough of tourney games from around the country to know that that Stanford team we played last night is as good as anyone in the country. Their bats are problems

In fact, if I were to pick a team from the Pac to go all the way (other than the Beavs), I might put a couple bucks on Ucla to do it. Lots of grit and belief on that team. Stanford is just good, but I think we could have matched up better with our top-level pitchers.

I love that they'll be coming from 90 degree weather to 60 degree weather at Goss. They'd better bring their long johns.

I believe that they present the most favorable matchup. The times that Oregon State has won a National Championship, the other regional has been won by the #3 seed from the Pac-10 (2006), #2 seed (2007) and #14 overall seed (2018). The team that won the other Regional has been the northernmost (2006 and 2007) or second-most northernmost (2018) team in the other Regional. The year, that would be UCLA (northernmost) and Auburn (second-most northernmost).

A slight adjustment to a facts stated by the Vandy fan: re TOP 25 RPI (Beavs 1-3); expand it a bit (to TOP 30), and the Beavs are 9-4.

Also we got 22 runs. Really the top 5 teams or maybe 6 are tough. The top three are special.,The sec will find out.

Man I wish the SEC would crawl back in their hole. In 2018 in the baseball playoffs we were 6-1 against that "juggernaut" league with a cumulative score of 54-12.

Totally fair that they talk smack until we shut them up.

I guess the whistler will have to be sent home "whistling dixie" which is slang for "unrealistic fantasizing".

Auburn's bats could be a problem, but their pitching is not good.

Go Lions 1st and foremost. Then FSU, Auburn, UCLA in order!(I, like most on this board, REALLY do NOT want to see UCLA again)
