Jacob Melton got promoted to AAA Sugar Land. Constellation Park, the home of the Space Cowboys (really?) is about a 45-minute drive from Minute Maid Park, the home of the Astros. People love to buy quirky uniforms and ball caps from minor league teams with oddball names. Names like: Portland Pickles, Amarillo Sod Poodles Fort Myers Mighty Mussels Rocket City Trash Pandas Richmond Flying Squirrels Among others. Best part of the current and now defunct MiLB teams were the cool logos and hats. I used to order some... Hartford Yard Goats Hickory Crawdads Carolina Mudcats We're my favs... not sure if the logos are the same or even exist now?? |

Sugar Land's previous nickname was the Skeeters.   The team changed its name from the Skeeters to the Space Cowboys in between the 2021 and 2022 season. Good name change or not? |

Crushed that mutha! Crazy that Kwan also hit a slam in his home debut at Lake County. Are you thinking about Lynchburg, Columbus, or Akron? Kwan hit a three-run shot in his debut for Lake County this year. But the A+ affiliate back when Kwan was coming up was Lynchburg, not Lake County. |
