Loville is leaving ASU. She’d be a very good get as a scoring guard.

Oklahoma State transfer, Lauren Fields, announced her commitment to Arizona. Hmmmm... No Yeaney, but add Fields: "The 5-foot-9 guard accounted for 15.4 points, 4.1 rebounds, 2.3 steals, and 1.8 assists per game on her way to All-Big-XII second-team honors. She has two years to play at Arizona." Hence, some of the discussion on the current roster. As of now OSU added a TOTAL of 10 pts per game and ~35% shooting... with (2) grad transfers. We lost 5 players from last years roster with a combined offensive total of 11.9 points a game. We are trending in the right direction.

Points/boards: TJ 12.4/6.9 transfer (9 games) Ellie 9.4/4.5 grad KB 7.9/6.3 transfer Taya 7.3/7.4 transfer Greta 5 2/2.5 transfer Emily 3.4/2.4 grad Tea 3.0/1.7 grad So... 48.6 pts out of 64.5 and 31.7 boards of 40.6 are gone. A bit off there!

A bit off there! You left off 2 players to add to the bottom of your list there Donkey. Like I said, we had 5 players that contributed less than 12 points a game added together on the roster that we lost. Lets see if you can figure out who that is.

I see Dalayah Daniels is still available in the portal. I think her personality is a good fit to the Beavers based upon what I’ve seen from her in games… good sportsmanship (e.g. helping Beavers up from the floor) and her expression of happiness for Andrea after her layin. I doubt she will ever start a game, but I think she’d be a solid backup.

Also, let’s not get our hopes up about Jade Loville. It seems that she may be looking to stay in-state and the wildcats are already on the prowl.

If Arizona gets Joville that’s just killer from a point void perspective. That hurts and losing Daniel’s hurts. I’m sure rueck was after her.

Good pickup in Daniels for Washington. There just doesn't seem to be a lot of height left in the portal. There are still a number of intriguing guards, but they are going fast as well.

From OregonLive interview with Scott Barnes. Barnes: Obviously, Scott (Rueck) isn’t happy with where we ended, but again, we had some various issues. Scott has performed at an extremely high level, so expectations are really high. That sort of creates a monster, and not fulfilling those expectations is hard. I’ve got great confidence in his ability to retool. In today’s landscape, we’ve talked about the transfer portal, about name, image and likeness. We all have to adapt and make changes in how we coach, how we lead, how we connect with student-athletes. I know Scott is working on that.

That is saying something that many on this board get blasted for saying. I agree with everything Scott said (except for one comment). SR has to realize the current environment and that landing HS recruits is one thing, keeping them is just as important, and wisely using the portal is right up there with both of those. Scott has handled the first one better than most coaches. Now he needs to learn to handle the other two. Retooling won't be easy once you get behind the curve.

You mean the part where Barnes expects Scott to change and adapt? That business as usual is no longer cutting it?
