It would be real interesting to see what the Beavs would do. She was kicked off the team and didn't play after Feb 14th. Rumors of an affair with an Assistant coach. She has the stats to lead you to believe she could help the Beavs and probably has 2 years remaining. He injuries make it a tough read on her eligibility. Started 51 straight games for Nebraska, so has plenty of experience and is a really good 3pt shooter and ft shooter. Not really a point guard, but could help take some relief off a starting PG. Hopefully there are much better options than a shorter shooter with (3) ACLs, that was booted from her last team. If SR is reaching that point next season is in question.

Yes major injuries in High School and early college career, but then 51 straight starts for Nebraska and a .400 shooter from 3. Although she seems more 'Kat" like in that she can shoot the 3, she doesn't seem to be a threat to get to the hoop and is a 1:1 assist to TO ratio. . Would of definitely been a double digit scorer had she played 30+ minutes per game last season. The question would be, does a team give her a second chance? I'm sure someone will.

By the way, Raoul had 1190 as the number who had entered the portal as of last night. Still at that number this morning. With only today and tomorrow left, I'm thinking the chances of reaching 1200 are fairly good. I think there was 20 or more who entered yesterday.

I'd more question her ability to guard her position in the Pac12. The offensive vs defensive balance might not be there? No offense to a kid who has overcome so much, but OSU/SR should be able to land a "better fit" for the roster/needs. Maybe someone with (3) years left!

And potentially off the court issues, as her and an assistant coach were mysteriously removed from the team around the same time. Maybe nothing, but kind of fishy. Probably don’t need the drama.

Well I would give her a 2nd chance....for her it would be like---Ok-I made a mistake--lesson learned! Our team seriously needs proven offense to take some of the load off of TVO and Ashley is a proven sharpshooter.

Agreed. Bring her in.
Or better yet, let's cancel everyone who has ever had an affair. Yeah, that's a good idea...

Norte dame has gotten 3 portal recruits before the dead period. They picked up one of the Texas 3 posts that left Texas for the portal. I really thought Norte dame would pick up kennedy brown. You can see from these higher end schools they are all trying to beat the other schools to these better players. Appears we are not one of those schools thAt can compete for these portal post players. If in fact we tried? Who knows. This interest in Scoggins from Nebraska her height probably has determined how many three pointers she shoots. But if she has the quicks and can pass to somebody 6’9’ get her.

That's a big number that either decided they wanted to move on, or their coach convinced them to do so.

I liked her game, hoped she was on our radar, the deadline is here, no new additions available, the good ones are going fast, but maybe overseas players like someone suggested are an option.
Maryland WBB transfer Ashley Owusu (6-0 JR point guard, Woodbridge, VA) has announced her commitment to Virginia Tech; 2021-22 stats: 14.3 PPG, 3.7 APG, 3.1 RPG; second-team All–Big Ten; honorable mention All-American; 2019 McDonald's All American

So, in theory, we have a final number, 1210 listed in the Portal, and as of now, 415 with their new school listed.
The final numbers , if I read this right, for 2020-2021: 1159 listed, 984 found a new school.
Did the rest just not report, not find a school, give up on BB? I'm curious to see the percent this year, but more important, dying to see who lands at OSU

Oklahoma State transfer, Lauren Fields, announced her commitment to Arizona. Hmmmm... No Yeaney, but add Fields: "The 5-foot-9 guard accounted for 15.4 points, 4.1 rebounds, 2.3 steals, and 1.8 assists per game on her way to All-Big-XII second-team honors. She has two years to play at Arizona." Hence, some of the discussion on the current roster. As of now OSU added a TOTAL of 10 pts per game and ~35% shooting... with (2) grad transfers.

I think it’s pretty clear that we need more help than we already have. I’ll consider discussing once the dust has settled. Go beavs!!
