Morehead State WBB’s entire ‘22 roster is either graduating or transferring out. They have to replace everyone. Yes, but how does Charlie Creme rate their chances next season? That's the important thing.

No height is listed left in the top groups still left. Doesn’t bode well for us. 6'3" D. Daniels (from Cal) is still in the portal pool. Charlie Creme always misses a few I think he missed a number of players, but there aren't that many 'bigs' with talent in the portal. It will be interesting to see how the Beavs handle finding help in the front court. Daniels and Edwards would probably be two good choices, but Daniels social media suggest Arizona, and Edwards has many choices. I'm in agreement with beaverwbb fan that Stephanie Visscher would be a great addition. I haven't seen any social media that would suggest interest in her, or from her for the Beavs,, but I also know you can't judge SR's interest by checking social media, so we'll see if anything develops. Another guard who should be in the top remaining players is Kayla Williams from UCI. She'd be a difference maker in the Beaver backcourt. Jana Van Gytenbeek wasn't on his list either. There are a few good ones out there, but the list is dwindling every day now.

There are a few good ones out there, but the list is dwindling every day now. And lots of schools still looking/needing players. Since May 1st is the deadline to enter, and you can sign anytime there are almost no schools that have as many signed as left. Most have one or none signed. And glancing over 20+ pages there are very few 6'2" or taller F/C types out there! Trade bigs with UT? Latasha Lattimore (Texas)... Said Vic Schaefer in a statement released by Texas: "We are so excited about Latasha Lattimore coming to The University of Texas. Not many times do you get a chance in August to add a top-25 student-athlete to your program. Her size, athleticism, and length at 6-4 combined with her skill set will enhance our team without question. She has guard skills to go with her size and strength. We believe she is an impact player, and we look forward to her arrival here on the Forty Acres." Maybe not as highly sought out, but easier to land. Good size and athleticism. Or go "BIG" and shoot for one of the top remaining uncommitted transfers and get the best athletes possible. Some examples: - Angel Reese (Maryland) 6-3 F, Jr. - Dre'una Edwards (Kentucky) 6-2, G/W, Jr. (started at Utah, Pac12 FOY in '19... but had some academic issues??) - Saniya Rivers, (South Carolina) 6-1, G, So. - Lauren Ebo (Texas) 6-4, C, Sr. (only one year left, and would be a very solid/experienced backup) As of the April 26th update I saw this was the summary for Pac12 schools: Zona... (7) out... (0) in ASU... (5) out... (1) in Cal... (3) out... (3) in Colo... (6) out... (1) in ucks... (5) out... (1) in OSU... (4) out... (1) in USC... (4) out... (0) in Furd... (2) out... (0) in Utah... (3) out... (1) in WSU... (1) out... (0) in UW... (6) out... (0) in UCLA... either missed them or none listed. Besides a top recruiting class they also now return Conti who was to be their starter at PG until she was injured all of '21-22.

I have no clue who osu is truly interested in from the portal...only the coaches know this. What I believe is the coaches are being careful in adding the right fit from the portal of players with more than a year left. With the freedom of movement plays now have, you want to take the time and find players who are team players, hard workers, and want to be at osu. We have a good base of players with the frosh, returnees, and Yeaney. Adding 2-3 portal athletes who are good team players will get us back on track to getting to the tournament.

I was feeling somewhat restless about our only adding one at this point, but everybody seems to be in that same boat. I wonder why UCLA is untouched by this whole thing. Do they have some really lucrative NIL deal in place for the whole roster that's keeping their players in place?

Not that I have any love for Maryland, but it was interesting to see Charlie Cream talk about what made them promising for next season, then compare to the Portal, I hope this isn't a repeat.

I have one other thought / question on the whole portal thing. Including this spring thus far, Scott has brought in 5 players over the last 3 years - Ellie, Jovanna, Emily, Tea, and now, Bendu. Every one has been a grad transfer. Is this just coincidental, or has it been deliberate up to now?

Ahhh... they are well balanced/very versatile: Sr/Grad Jr Frosh Jefferson 5-9 PG Onu 5-9 G/W Jones 5-6 PG Osborne 5-9 SG Dugalic 6-4 F/C Rice 5-11 PG Brown 5-11 G Anstey 6-3 C Buenavida 5-9 G Masikewich 6-3 F Jaquez 6-1 W Bessoir 6-4 F/C (RS) Sontag 6-3 W/F Iwuala 6-3 C Could very well develop into a challenger for the top spot depending on how the youth handles the transition. Plus they seem to be in line for a break from injuries!?

Dang it, I like Van Gytenbeek, but I can't root for Baylor. What few transfers Stanford has had outgoing (up til now almost always grad transfers) seem to go exclusively to Notre Dame and Baylor.

It appears to me that Coach Rueck is going to have to figure out a different approach if OSU is to be able to reach PAC 12 Championship level again.
His (and his coaching staff) talent to find somewhat under the radar recruits and then develop them with a system of individual improvement, team chemistry, and long term development appears to be floundering badly under the current portal/payments to players for advertising,etc./grad transfers and various other factors.
Am I seeing this all wrong, or is likely our best finish next year would be lower middle of the PAC 12?

They are a high enough profile team though that they keep bringing in talent. You would think they would get a reputation of a place you don't want to play, but that doesn't seem to be the case.

So many of the best players are making their decisions. It's not looking good for the Beavs right now. Let's see who this staff can pull out of their hat. There are some talented players out there, but many of them are finding a home.
