AJ has been a turnover machine lately and continues to throw up bricks from the outside so I understand her being benched....What I don't understand is why we don't take advantage of our height and pound the ball inside more and I'd still like to see both KB and JM in the game at the same time for some stretches to really take advantage of our height especially considering how poorly we are shooting the 3.

Yeah we’re already slow anyway, so it’s not like being bigger and taller is a bad thing at times.

Time to change with the times, SR. Better coached games would have won us at least one of the last two, and maybe both.
Instead, it's probably time to look ahead to next year as far as the dance.

Along the lines of our two posts. Kennedy has just about played only enough to finish a split into two halves freshman year. She is just figuring it out and trying to make her mark. I personally think she has a lot of potential for developing into a 1st team all American at post. She has good to great feet / balance. She is smart enough to already figure out how to move with her back to the basket. She knows how to use both hands which is a discipline to do. She uses leverage down low and can stretch a mile to get her shot off. I think she can learn and is getting the feel for making herself into a legit post along with power forward. By the way……. Let’s sweep them ducks

16 turnovers - Tea had 5 of them ( not good for a point guard ) TVO had 3 because she forces some passes and dribbles right into here defender . I recall how Sydney Wiese used to dribble with the ball away from the defender ( sideways ) , and then would catch and shoot from the same position. Very unorthodox - but VERY effective . Seems kind of strange to think that Rueck was the one that drove the interest in PAC 12 basketball ( wbb ), and now that has made it tougher for us to compete and win. Now, it's time for us to up our game again ! Yes, Stanford was garbage before SR arrived. C’mon. I can always count on YOU for a cherry-picking piece of nonsense! How good were the ducks, how good were the Wildcats and on and on ! Stanford had zero PAC competition before . They have had to move their game up too . Go ahead - post some more of your idiotic nonsense !

I didn’t say the Rueck was the whole reason the league got better. That is laughable. However, it doesn’t matter now that he’s gotten passed by half the league. If SR was the sole reason the league got better, shouldn’t his brilliance allow his team to stay in the upper half of the league?

Last response to small jugs - Things change over time ( maybe in your case - not so much ) 1) Did Stanford slip a bit when OSU won three straight PAC 12 titles ? 2) Are they back on top due to need for better recruiting and better athletes ? Will Scott get back on top again ? YES
Will you EVER just have a conversation with other OSU Alumni ( I doubt you are one ). Goodbye … let’s see how much lower you can go.

Stanford had zero PAC competition before . They have had to move their game up too . Go ahead - post some more of your idiotic nonsense ! That's just not accurate. Arizona St. was neck and neck with Stanford for a while. Cal was challenging them for the top. If you go back far enough Washington was battling with them (Gobrecht and Daugherty both had some good teams there). UCLA has had some good teams over the years. Absolute nonsense that Stanford had no competition before Oregon St. rose up.
As far as raising their game, I don't buy that either. I think their teams over the latter half of the 2000s were easily better than the team that just won a Title. They didn't break thru and win a Championsihp back then because the UConn teams of that era and Tennessee with Parker were much stronger than any of the teams in the last couple years. I'd take those teams with Wiggins, Brooke Smith, Appel, Pederson, Pohlen, the Ogwumikes, etc. over the current Stanford bunch hands down. They had a downturn for a while because they weren't recruiting as well. Now they are back to recruiting among the best in the country and they have in turn ascended, not because other Pac 12 teams got them to raise their game.

You said what I said - Things change…. Sometimes you are the nail - sometimes you are the hammer !
Why did the ducks bring baseball back ? I know, tough question.

I think I remember a quote from her to the effect that she didn't want to go to a program that envisioned her as a back to the basket 5, but wanted to be a face up 4, a la Breanna Stewart. So sort of how she played her freshman year before the ACL. Unfortunately, she doesn't have the 3-ball for that right now. I'm sure she's playing that 5 because of the Jones injury because we need the help there.

I think she is trying to figure things out. Taylor is gone Kennedy is a smart girl. And has skills hope she puts her team first until at least Taylor comes back.

KB has definitely been working on her back to the basket low post moves since Taylor has been out....I saw some pretty slick moves from her this weekend---The announcers even commented on how good her footwork was on a couple of the moves!
