She’s a FRESHMAN. Do your remember how awkward and ineffective Ruth Hamblin was her freshman year?? This is her third year in the program. Her freshman designation needs to come with a big asterisk. How was Hamblin by her third year in Corvallis by comparison? Her first season was a redshirt, and the second was totally screwed up by covid. Give her three full seasons and the make the comparison. |

So are you saying Jelena is “not a D1 player”? I think that’s a foolish statement. Her play was absolutely critical to our win today. And she’ll only get better in her 3+ years remaining. Beyond FOOLISH! In fact, I'd classify it (I'm being generous) as CUCKOO TALK !!!! Mitrovic is the best back-up BIG in the Pac-12. Hamblin was a starter. Marie was a starter. Jelana: 2nd year/ 3rd year, who gives a flying f*uck?!?!? She is an extremely important player off the bench. |

TVO’s passing today was fantastic. Her bounce pass to Ellie on the break was perfect.
The poster who said Jelena is not a D1 player spent most of December posting about all the faults Taylor Jones has as a post player, so maybe take those criticisms with a grain of salt.
Nice win, good home sweep, get ready for ASU.

Who knows how she will progress, but she's filling a key role right now and that's really all that matters at this point in time. I have always thought it'd be kinda surprising if she actually stayed at OSU all 4/5 years??? |

It's always fun when the Beavs are on offense in front of UCLA's bench to watch Close's reactions. And it's not just on breakdowns/mistakes. It's seemingly on every OSU made shot. LOL

Did Greta play in the second half? If she did, it sure wasn't much. I don't understand that. Ellie and Taya were both playing great, so I can see not playing her at the wing. So put her in the backcourt with Talia and get her some touches. Instead you play Emily Codding, shooting 28.3% on the year (18.2% on 3's)? Emily's going to be gone in several weeks; Greta's the future. Play her. |
