At last showing fight and executing the foul-to-extend game pretty well. Not being able to hit a 3 is pretty critical to being successfully, but I'm at least appreciating the fight

I have said since slocum was here rueck needs to give more freedom on the offensive end. It's like none of them know how to drive to the hoop. They play scared to make a mistake.

It is heartbreaking to see the players faces after this one. They look so down and dejected, never seen it this bad. Scott is going to need a pep talk in the locker room. You don't want to lose the team because they can still turn the corner on this season. At least I hope they can.

My concern is that the program seems to be trending towards mediocrity. 2 years ago, we were 10-8 in conference, last season 7-6, this year 2-2 and playing like maybe a .500 team in conference? On paper we are recruiting well, with 2 highly regarded players coming in next season, maybe that will jump start the program. Granted it is a great conference and we still went to the NCAAs, but it is not on the same level as the prior 5 seasons. I am hoping the downward trend is an aberration and not early stages of a longer-term trend. Time will tell...

There is a reason we can't recruit a top tier point guard. Not going to mention a name but he is like 5 6, nearly bald, and sits on the bench.
