In the last few days some gave the Beavs little if any chance. At least one said it would be a major upset knocking off Utah. Another told these fans of little faith to take a deep breath that Utah while good isn't a world beater (oh that "another" was me). By the way weather was great, tailgating was awesome, the game in person was much better than sitting at home. Have a nice day and as always Go Beavs!!!

All I know is having watched the end of Illinois-Purdue, high scoring PAC-12 offense is much better football than that Big-10 crap. Were you waiting for the sucks to start? but you are right. You go a full game plus 9 OT.....and 20 points wins? That is Pettibone era nonsense

Before the season Vegas was offering the over/under on conference wins at 2.5. I took the over but never dreamed I would cash my ticket due to wins over U$C, UW and UU.
WAY TO GO BEAVS!!!!!!!!!

Yep - guess all that confusion also leads one to think the top scoring team in the conference has a middling OC. You’d be hard pressed to find any non-OSU fan who thinks this lowly of BL. I think you'd be hard pressed to find non-OSU fans who know who a Brian Lindgren is? Maybe true Pac12 football fans. But, without looking them up, not many fans here can name half the Pac12 OCs. You counter none of my points with anything other than we score a lot. Ok, but so far I've not seen a ton of great defense being played in the Pac12, add to that 87 points vs two non-P5 teams. I'll stick with BL being very inconsistent and being middle tier at this time. But, as I stated in a far earlier post, coordinators don't need to be fired (as in Tibs) but may need to go "back to school" to learn some new tricks. Sometimes that schooling needs to be forcefully suggested. Again... message board opinion. But, OSU isn't in danger of either being hired away. At least not by a superior program. The literal, and entire point, of an offensive coordinator... We scored 87 against two non-P5 teams. Cool, we also scored 87 against two Pac-12 teams, one time on the road and one time against a historically good defense. Counting last nights game we have the #1 offense in the Pac-12 by nearly 2 points a game. We are the only team in the Pac-12 to score more than 40 points more than once and we did it 4 times. In more than half our games we have topped 40 points. We are nationally the #24th ranked scoring offense and 8 spots further ahead than the next closest Pac-12 team in Oregon. We are the #19 offense in yards per play, we are the #4 offense in the nation at converting 3rd downs. We are top 25 nationally and #1 in Pac in multiple offensive metrics, all while doing it with recruiting classes ranked FAR below Pac-12 peers. It is your opinion and you are free to have it, but you are probably the only one sharing it. Lindgren is absolutely a major threat to be hired away, not just as a head coach to a mid major, but sniped to "superior" program. I bet Jimmy Lake would sell either or both nuts to bring him aboard right about now.

He kind of reminds of a guy that "marched to a different drummer" named baseball1111. It’s like Clark Kent and Superman. Has anyone ever seen Baseba1111 and rgeorge in the same room at the same time?

So who are the 5-6 offensive coordinators who are better in the conference, who are underperforming enough to all have production worse than what Lindgren has? Is underperforming mean they score less? You do know teams don't have common opponents and some OCs have faced better overall defenses that OSU? But, top of head, no particular order I'd take these guys anytime; Ludwig/Utah (although he was bad tonight) Moorhead/Oregon Harrell/SC Hill/ASU Three are also considered outstanding recruiters. We’ve already beat 50% of those coordinators this season, might be all of them by season’s end. If Our OC didn’t have a thing to do with it, the wins must be because of our DC I guess.

Just rewatched the game. That 4th down play by Austin was amazing. He was covering 2 guys on that play and timed the hit perfectly

Some huge plays in the game, but what was bigger than the 3rd down conversion pass to Lindsay early in the 3rd quarter? Being down 10 points at the time and at risk of going three and out to start second half. Great throw and catch. Nolan got his confidence back with that dime.

Hard to pick, but the goal line stops were incredible. And add to it, the red zone stop to hold them to a measly field goal. Down by 11, settling for a field goal is a bitch. But imagine being stopped twice from 4th and goal. In one game. Soul crushing.

I think he’ll probably be all league by his junior year, maybe sooner. I keep forgetting with the new redshirt rules and the bonus 2020 season he’s been here 3 years now.
