Y’all still going to call this forum Casey’s Corner IF he actually takes the gig? I’ll be honest and say my opinion of him will be diminished. I KNOW that opinion isn’t shared by all (maybe very few), and most of you and coach C don’t give a damn about my opinion, but this “feels” s%#tty (to me). I hear ya. Give him (PC) the chance to actually accept the position before passing judgement. It is still all rumor, innuendo, and discussion for now. |

I'd be lying if I said it wouldn't feel like being cheated on by your girlfriend, or something similar......I mean it's LSU! They are the evil empire of the SEC! Casey is on my coaching Rushmore, but him coaching LSU would absolutely diminish his legacy for me just a bit, especially after what I saw from LSU fans in Omaha in '17.... That said, I doubt Pat Casey is considering how OSU fans feel about it. |

Wow some of You are so negative. He may leave the State. I would not blame Him. What has happened in this State will force moderate and Conservatives to leave period. Guys did not like my comment. No intelligent rebutted just did not like it. I like Pat Casey and He owes OSU not a damn dime. Wish Him success. We can hope to get back to World Series. Some of You guys are emotionally disturbed. No joy in Mudville. Mighty Casey has struck out.Wah.

If he takes this job its about one last shot with a storied program.....to get back in the game.....to coach in the SEC. You're right though that he owes us nothing. He gave us everything already.....it would still hurt though |

So if this does happen will this place still be called "Casey's Corner"? Full disclosure I'm not a fan of LSU hiring Pat Casey. What was the reason that Casey retired? Health He was mentally and emotionally exhausted after the 2018 season. Oh, and the last game he coached was a victory for the National Championship!! Talk about going out on top! Go Beavs!! |

Health He was mentally and emotionally exhausted after the 2018 season. I think 2017 and how it ended combined with 2018 had him running on fumes at the end. |

Saw Pat and Mrs. at PDX yesterday afternoon, apparently had just landed and was looking for a ride outside. Don't know if he was in FW, or LSU, but he looked well...  |

I can also confirm that Pat was in Fort Worth although I did not see Susan. He came and sat about 15 feet away from me on a foldup chair on the first level behind the OSU dugout for the Sunday night game. Roy and I were sitting in the unoccupied ADA section. Roy and I agreed that Pat looked kinda tired for whatever reason. Pat agreed with me that they should have walked Jackson Glenn in the top of the 9th just before he knocked in the tying run. Okay, that last sentence is a fib.  |

I am glad for Him. I hope He does what He wants to do. Things are not open in Oregon and the restrictions have made a mess of life. He served us well and I doubt with political climate He would ever coach Here again. That is just out of the question. Many pluses there. Not 1/4 filled stadiums if You are lucky. You've been banging this drum a whole lot, so I'll bite. Even speculating that Evan Bennett could have left the football team because of mask requirements.... So what's not open in Oregon at the moment? Specifically Benton County/Corvallis where PC lives? |
